$10,000 for 9 nights!!

Whoa! He didn't complain one stitch on vacation. Just the next time we were going he said never again to the CSR. He works very hard and has limited vacation time- so he likes it to be great. And he doesn't want to carry his luggage:rotfl2: Funny thing though for our summer beach trips at the house we rent he carries the bags? :confused3
He is an easy going guy and I couldn't ask for a better DH. So I'll stick with him. Plus I get some nice vacations out of it.
On the native language, DH IS Hispanic! So I speak it but don't look like I would. When I heard cm's saying "look at the fat white girl" Yes I spoke up that they should watch what they say in not knowing who could understand them. Don't assume.

My apologies- I guess I interpreted your post the wrong way. Funny thing- I speak spanish as well and probably would of said something but most of the time I just leave it alone when I understand what someone else is saying in non-english words.

"I am that fat white girl as well- trying to lose weight right now so I know how that is." I probably would of punched them and not said anything. Or I would of something in spanish like "Yes I am that fat white girl who pays her own bills and paid for this trip."

Have a great day!!

:thumbsup2 no worries!

And in searching on rates I discovered that the Wilderness lodge has a deluxe suite of sorts- 2 queens and a queen pullout- one bathroom but they allow 6. They are saying it is Club level? So does the Wilderness have concierge? Who knew?
Now we have stayed at the WL and it didn't wow us- really just because we live in the "mountains" and it didn't seem like a vacation. Like we were at home I guess. But the price is only
$5300 for Easter.

If we go in July- more days and we could go same room for $4552 or concierge at the GF for $8600- 2 bathrooms Or BC villas for $6200.
Decisions decisions.
I am leaning july now. as our choices are more and it gives me more time to plan. But we did love Easter last time- the weather was heaven.

Java,

I am planning on a trip next year and there will be 5 of us- major expensive, ouch!! I don't have a clue where we are going to stay and I don't know if renting points for DVC is a good option for me as I like to pay on my vacation as I go along as with Disney travel lets you. I was looking at the junior suites at CSR but their extra bed is really low to the ground- not ideal for my moms. I will come up with something though.

I'm with you. This will be out third trip at Easter, the weather is GREAT! We are DVC members and the point requirements are getting to us, so in 2009, we'll probably go in the dreaded summer.....

I'd price 2 rooms at a moderate. Don't do it online, call them and speak to someone directly. 2 mod rooms should be in the $400/night range.

I'd recommend CBR because the rooms are so big. We stayed there in April. We had 6 people and booked 2 connecting rooms. The rooms were big and very clean, and we loved it!

Spending that much for one trip you might as well buy into DVC.

You know we have thought about it. But just can't get beyond the time share aspect of it. And for when we need to travel the price just hasn't worked out. But now maybe we'll need to revisit it. We really should have joined back when it all first started- although now I guess they would have expired. :confused3 (If they open contemporary villas we would be on it I think)

In the past 2 years we've spent more than an initial DVC purchase price. But DVC isn't for everyone. We have no desire to stay at any of the current DVC resorts and we also prefer the rooms at a deluxe to the studios. I don't even think DVC at the contemporary would even change our minds. Its great that disney has so many options, but just b/c someone has spent enough money to get DVC doesn't make it right for them to purchase it.
