1 week and counting Need Help

My mother and I will be at WDW next Tuesday for one day only. We are hoping to do both AK and Epcot. We've never been to AK but do not want to miss out on seeing Epcot again. What is the best order to do these parks in? Does anyone know the hours? Also, What rides do we need to go to first? Thank you so much. I'm terrified that we won't be able to see anything becuase of a lack of planning. Thanks to all.

I checked allearsnet.com and both AK and Epcot are opening at 9:00am next Tuesday. AK closes at 7:00???? seems kind of late since they normally close earlier than that. Future World is from 9am-7pm.....although the big attractions like Test Track and Mission: Space continue until 9pm. World Showcase is from 11am-9pm.
If you want to ride Test Track you MUST go early. TT is very popular and the line builds quickly, even first thing in the morning. You might want to get a FP for either Mission: Space or TT and ride the other first. Fast Passes for Test Track run out pretty early in the afternoon.
However, if you have no interest in either of these you might want to start at AK.
Without knowing your interests it's kind of hard to give advice. You may want to start at Future World to do some attractions and then head over to AK and then return to Epcot for WS later on in the day.

I would suggest that you do AK in the morning. In the afternoon the animals tend to hide in the shade and sleep. Plus, the smell in the afternoon heat can really zap you. Doing the major atractions in AK, you can finish up your day there by 1 or 2 in the afternoon and have plenty of time to enjoy Epcot in the late afternoon and evening.
