good question. we did a mixture on our last trip. Trying to do 2 in one day is tough but it is nice for a change of scenery if you might get bored doing one park each day. We did a lot of days where we were at one park then hopped over to epcot to eat in the world showcase and just looked at the countries after dinner as we were stuffed.
We always do 2 sometime up to 4 in a day if you include the waterpark and nighttime EMH.
We like hitting the early EMH park then around noon or so when it starts to get busy we head to either the waterparks or to another park for mid-day parades and so forth.
Then when MK is open until 2 or 3 AM in the summer we will close another park as our 2nd one then head to MK for the EMH.
I keep a spread sheet on what parks we will try to get in on what days to make sure we are in each park all times during the day just on different days then nights.
I agree with M&C - we like to do a lot of attractions in one park & then head to another maybe for dinner or for Illuminations or the evening parade at MK. Illuminations is a nice ending to any day!
I do a bit of both. For my first day at both EPCOT and MK, I spend the entire day in 1 park. For MGM, AK, and additional days at EPCOT and MK, I normally do 2 parks in a day.
We usually will go to 2 or 3 a day. We usually do the morning and evening EMH, and now that we usually stay at the BWV we can do quick trips to EPCOT the middle of the day very easily.
Thanks so much for sharing your preferences. I can't imagine going to more than 2 parks. I guess I will have a better feel for everything (transportation, distance between parks) once I am there. We are staying at Coronado Springs so I guess I need to take that into park hopping consideration. My love for naps while on vacation is also playing a role in my planning.
2 a day we do a park from morning until about 2pm then go back to the resort for pool time, nap time, and then do a park from 5pm to close. We only do one park days on travel days and heavy crowd days like Christmas and NYE
One park a day for us usually. We've done AK and MGM in one day, tho.
Reasons for one park a day is we like to go back to the condo, recharge, nap, freshen up before our nighttime activities, which generally are not at parks. The people I travel with can get a bit crabby if we're in nonstop theme park "go" mode
