1 night on site is it worth while?

Like Wendy we stayed for one night at the Hard Rock,we just took some stuff we needed and left everything else in the villa.This was so we could get to bed easily after Halloween Horror Nights!

I think a one night stay in a special hotel is worth the effort/money

If you want to stay at one of the Universal hotels and don't have an AP to get a good rate, log yourself on to join the Loews preferred guest card. October 2002 I got a Fan Club rate of $160 for one nights stay in a pool view room at HRH; when I called back last year to arrange the same, all the Fan Club deals had gone and they offered a similar room for $300 Don't think so, so I mentioned I was a Loews club holder and they then found me a promotional rate of $169

I am really struggling to get a decent rate for one night's stay at a Universal resort hotel, preferably the HRH. I have rung the ' BE A STAR' number twice in the past 3 days to see whether I can get a good rate for 5th, 6th or 7th April. I don't have an AP, but have become a Loewe's First member and have an All Access Pass for the HRC - which (according to Mousesavers) is supposed to get me a good rate. I mention all of these things, as well as the fact that I have applied for an Entertainment card - BUT they still can't offer me anything better than $339 for the RPR. They say they have nothing at all available at the other hotels.

I have tried some of the hotel websites (hotelkingdom & Expedia) and the best rate I can get on there is 154 pounds, not dollars!

Anyone got any ideas??!
