1 mouse + 14 glue boards = game on!

We had a humane trap and the little bugger was in the heater and well, cooked mouse stinks!

We have caught about 60 mice in the 20 years we have owned our humane trap, and we have had about 3 mishaps, too. It has a spring action "flipper" and the poor things got caught. I also suspected that for awhile we were catching the same mouse.. I wanted my DH to paint his tail with white out so we could be sure, but we never did.

I'm all for not having them suffer - if at all possible - but the bottom line is they carry disease and if you don't catch that "one" that has invaded your home, it won't be long until you have 100..

I agree with all of this. I don't want a bunch of intruding vermin leaving their nastiness everywhere. :thumbsup2

Did you know that the first mouse to enter your home leaves a trail of urine - so the other mice will know how to get in? Get a male and a female in there at the same time (or a pregnant female) and you'll be fighting mice for years to come! And if one dies in your wall? You'll want to MOVE OUT - between their urine soaked nesting materials and the dead mouse itself - it's a major job getting the odor out of your home..

Thanks, but no thanks..:scared1:

I like the snap traps with a little peanut butter. My dad uses a piece of candy bar, like a Snickers (and eats the rest). :goodvibes

We lived in the middle of a farm once and they were bad. I told DH that I was going to get him a little mouse stamper so he could stamp on the wall every time he got one. I even got my dog to start killing them. :rotfl:

There was a HUGE rat that lived in the garage once. We used it for storage only. I've never seen DH run in fear before or since. He came flying out of the garage with "NO ONE GO IN THERE. EVER!" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: He was even afraid to go and set traps so he bought rat poison, opened the door and threw it in. He said it was about the size of a cat. :scared1: Next time that door was opened was when we moved a year later. :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

We have one, and yes it is one, who I think is using my house for vacations! We only see, hear or find evidence every once in a while and he has been here for a couple of years. We have tried humane traps, snap traps and recently glue traps, he ain't falling for it! :headache: Lately he likes to dig in a plant in the living room. I came home one day to find my DM had circled the plant with snap and glue traps. :rotfl: He still digs in the plant!

Now she wants to try poison but no way in this world am I allowing that.
I worked at a concession stand at a lake and they used it, we came in one morning to find dead mice all over the place. :scared1:

whatever....

The mouse that is being spoken of isn't worth my time :rolleyes1

I perfer no mice in my house. Good Luck OP :thumbsup2

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Me too! I think I'll send mine to you! ;) No, actually, I'll get much more satisfaction knowing they'll die a slow and horrible death from poison.

I HATE the glue boards. While I don't want mice around me, I can't stand to see any animal suffering.

We are overrun with mice at the office. We have the glue traps all over the place. A mouse got in one on Tuesday morning and screeched and "screamed" for over 2 hours. It bled too. It was awful.

I had a landlord one time who took care of that by going over and stomping on it. It stopped screaming. :rotfl2:

best little rodent trap ever.......

first, leave some sunflower seeds around on the ground for a day or two in likely areas.

next, fill a 2 gallon bucket ( the kind that stand about 6 to 8 inches off the floor)

fill with water to 1 1/2" from the top.
cover surface of water with sunflower seeds ( they float )

Little Mickey ( or great for chipmunks also ) gets in and can't get out.
No traps, touching or even having to see the demised mouse if you are sqeamish.

Ooooh, I love it! I'm trying to get rid of some sneaky ones myself, so maybe I'll try your method. :thumbsup2

Just read this whole thread, and not once did I see where the "glue trappers" said they threw a live mouse in the trash, not even the snotty lady ,who wasn't even snotty!!!.She didnt call you names for stating your thoughts! Geeze!!! Next your gonna tell me I should lasso the pesky flies in my kitchen with a piece of thread and take them outside and humanely release them instead of splatting them with the swatter!! These are vermin people!!!! Hanta virus mean anything !!!! It was just on our local news last night.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Yeah, what he said!

Maybe a small cage for cockroaches would be nice too. ;)

Thanks man - Bubba ya got my back as usual :thumbsup2

I really think the people that ATTACKED those of us that mentioned getting rid of the mice are harsh.

There is a nice way to talk and a mean way to talk. Nothing I said was mean towards a persons choice to do what they thought was right for them. However it was made very clear that my choice was just down right wrong and therefore I was wrong.

I hope that the people that attack around here can read what they say and see the other side.

Like I said....whatever :sad2:

I caught another one today, so it is now

2 mice + 12 glue boards = game on..... round 2.

I try to be as humane as possible but the disease that they carry really bothers me, especially with a toddler in the house.

I really do keep a clean house, even though it sounds infested. The kids don't always shut the doors and we live near the woods. It is just natural this time of the year.

Of course, Mickey Mouse has a place of honor in our home!
