If parent #1 goes on the ride & parent #2 stays outside w/ the little one.....how do they know when it's their turn to go on the ride when parent #1 is done?

I can't make DS stay in there while parent #1 is on the ride - sort of mean. Everyone gave me tips on where to take him which is great....but how do I know it's my turn?:confused3

The group that just went on the ride is going to have to find you somehow. Will you have cell phones? Two-way radios? You'll need to pass of your ds to your dh and then it will be your turn.

They might have changed it since we last swapped out for Indy (Oct '06), but for the second adult, they just went in the exit. So the first rider is exiting, and they could quickly call the second person, and the second person meets the first person at the exit. Then the second rider takes the swap pass (or already has it...when we swapped they gave the paper to the first rider, and then they gave it to me once they were done, but I've heard that other people have had it done the other way) and goes in the exit until that line merges with the regular line.

My guy was only a year old when we first swapped, so he didn't mind just sitting around near the exit, but I did! Later when I realized how long a wait it was going to be (we did not get fastpasses the first time we swapped on Indy, so the first riders stood in the whollllle line) I felt so foolish for having just sat there, instead of wandering around!

when you get to the first ride attendent , you tell them you are doing a child swap. they will give you a pass and you can either choose to wait or you can go back later. when you go back you go to to fast pass line and give them you pass. you can only do the child swap on rides that have fast pass. we did the last 2 years and it worked great. you can also get a single rider pass, which is kind of them same thing. you tell the attenedent that you are a single rider and they will give you a pass to go through the fast pass line.

Not true. Any ride with a height restriction offers child switch pass. Matterhorn, for example, uses the exit que for the second adult to ride.
