we are back from our trip and i must say that for all of the people that dont live close enough to do these kind of trips i have no answer for you..this is our first with our new pap's and we have felt the pressure from them...we are about 2 hours drive from the magic and we are still concerned and consumed with the family budget on our wdw trips...it is a great value when you live close but it is also a great burden.... when you spend the money for pap's and have that kind of freedom in the magic it is hard to no when to say no...but we did this for a reason with summer and no school ect like all of you...we have no other plans and wdw is our only budgeted item for our kids (14,10,5,3)..please dont get me wrong..i am not complaining about our situation..we have saved for 2 years towards something that we could get some value out of and that is close to home...i dont need to tell you all that a trip to the local steak N shake is $50.00 with 4 kids & 2 adults not counting the movie....we have tried the local scene and for the money wdw seemed to be a great idea..so we have 1 year to taste the magic...and that means alot of budgeting and planning that i must work out..i hope this helps someone that needs help..this is our story...have fun
