:sad1:I just fell out of my chair...DH and I are doing a short Cali coast cruise in Oct from Vancouver to LA- said to DH maybe we would be sneaky and do a day at the parks before we fly home..we just did a trip in May which I bought 5 day hoppers for- cost per ticket...$262.50 (Canadian discount)
For this however, cheapest park hopper is $147 for ONE day :charac2::sad: $50 more than the single park price of $97...I had no idea single day tickets were this high...annddd the parks aren’t even open late as it would be a Halloween party night...I don’t even want to convert it to Canadian dollars...IF we do go, looks like it will be CA only :(

have you checked out Last Minute Travel Club ? I saved $50 on a 3 day 1 park ticket compared with buying direct from Disney

DH is in S. Cal on business quite often, so occasionally I'll sneak away and join him on him for some DL time on the weekend. I just can't stomach the price of a one day hopper, so we end up sticking to one park, and we always have a blast anyway. (We are normally 5 day hopper people when we take the kids). I think the Halloween party is something to definitely consider with your situation. What a fun way to top off a cruise!

FYI party tickets include park hopping for the first few hours before the party starts.
I agree.

So many bonuses. Party= Less money, Special Party Fireworks, Special Party Parade, Rides are almost all walk ons (During party in DL), Trick or Treating, Cadaver Dans and so much more...

It looks like I just talked myself into going again this year.

5 day is $319 USD on last minute travel club now. So, those tickets you got before were a special promotion. The 1 day is a lot but you should be happy at the cost last time!!

Yeah, the hoppers go down in price if you stay longer. Other parks are the same. We're taking one day from our next WDW trip to go to Universal and buying the one-day, two-park tickets there is pretty painful----$725 bucks for 4 people and that's during the value season. Ouch.

Are the party tickets generally cheaper than a one day hopper? What's 'a few hours'? Honestly, that might not be a bad way to go for one day if they're cheaper. If the 'few hours' is like 3-4, start at CA for the 'few hours' and then move over to DL at party time.

There are no savings on 1 day parkhoppers. (And that price on a 5-day PH was AMAZING!) Have you considered doing the party instead?

We’ve been talked about the Halloween party - but in all honestly, we did it on our last October trip a few years ago and we weren’t that impressed- the fireworks were awesome but the character meets were so long, and our year there was no special parade, just PTN (which we love, but we’re able to to see the other nights of our trip) and it was so crowded it was extra hard to move around etc...
I just looked up the cost and it looks like it would be $115 each, which is more than likely a bit more than a 1 day 1 park ticket...

I figure we may be able to get in the parks by 9ish, and DCA looking at last year should close at 8 (thinking WOC will be 8:15ish looking at last year) so we can prob be in DCA for 11-12 hours if we do a 1 day ticket

If we do the Halloween party, we can get in a 3pm, and DL is open till 11pm, so more like 8 hours and I think we have to leave DCA by 6pm, so no WOC

1-Day Park Hopper Ticket (Value) $147
1-Day Park Hopper Ticket (Regular) $167
1-Day Park Hopper Ticket (Peak) $185

Mickeys Halloween Party Tickets $105, $115, $130 depending on which day.

Saving $42 to $55 per ticket. I would definitely to the MHP if I had only one day and it was Halloween Party Night. Did the party last year for the first time with my wife and we had so much fun.

You are able to park hop the entire time with a halloween party ticket. If you decided you dont wanna stay at dl, you could just move over to dca. But be forewarned that dca gets reallu crowded on party nights since all non party ticket holders will head over there.

My thoughts too. The line of people coming from Disneyland to DCA when the party gets going is incredible.

Also rumor for now, but WOC was broken during the referb. I have heard any were from august to as late as December. I am hoping for August me and DW are going in Sept.

Adding PH to your ticket is $40 regardless if you are doing a 1 day ticket or a 5 day ticket. $40 for everyone. I don't understand that. I could see $20 for one day, $30 for 2, and $40 for 3 or more, but $40 for one day is really expensive.

I had no idea the party tickets were hoppers. Interesting!

It’s a flat rate. X amount for all the days of your ticket. It’s nice if you have a multi day ticket.

yeah, the one day park hopper is the most expensive ticket there is when looking at per day cost.

a couple of years ago I was there with my nephew and I tried to steer him to one park or the other but he wanted to ride Radiator Springs Racers and Space Mountain.

Found this on Disneyland website

"You can even visit both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park with your special event ticket during Mickey's Halloween Party—entry to either park begins 3 hours before the event officially starts."

Yep, I'd say the Halloween Party ticket is the way to go for a one day visit on a party day. Especially if you can add Max Pass for your time in DCA. For me, I could probably knock off most of what I wanted to do at DCA in 3 hours. Whether the 5 hours of the party would be enough time to do what I wanted in DL, I guess that would depend on the crowds.

I'm in the same boat...we will be going to DL for just one day and can't believe what a one day ticket will cost(during peak time), plus the hopper...and then converted to Canadian dollars. $135 + $50 hopper...that's $185. In Canadian $$ that's over $240 per ticket! I'm not sure if I can just do Disneyland and skip CA(RSR and now Pixar Pier). sticker shock for sure!

Yup we are Canadian too and it is overwhelming...we have decided w3 are either getting 1 park passes or possibly Halloween party tickets. We are lucky that we were just at the parks in May
