1 day or 2??

We are planning a trip to Disney for the first week of June this year. We have done WDW many times, but our DD LOVES Harry Potter, so we want to take her to Universal this trip. We are thinking about the one day 2 park ticket. What are your must-sees? We are a family of 5, with DD 11, DS 8, DD 4. The big kids ride most everything at Disney including RnR, Soarin' and Test Track. They are not extremely adventurous, and if it were not for HP, we wouldn't be leaving Disney property. I'm not sure we are ready for the major roller coasters just yet. So, back to my original question. Can we do it in 1 day or should I try to fit in 2 days. Thanks so much!

I'd say one day..even with harry potter we were able to do both parks in one day. But then again we are a commando family at Disney and hit Universal with the same run and gun attitude.

Given what you have told us I'd think you could cover US/IOA in 1 day.

I was there this week, and even with low crowds, we needed the 2 days( we were there 4).You can do it in one day IF you stick to one park or you do both and skip alot.We did all of IOA in one day( including WWoHP and that extra hour that onsite guests get helped out tremendously.We were leaving WWoHP section as the masses were streaming in).Our second day was repeats.The studios are harder to do in one day since alot is shows and they are only running at certain times and very often run the same time.It can be done though if the park hours are longer and you stay all day.We needed the 2 days for the studios since with the shorter hours we simply did not see all we wanted to.

Buy the one day ticket and if you feel you want to come back or try the Studios too, upgrade at Guest Services before you leave.
