Wife and two daughters (8,6) will be spending one day in Orlando before our 7 day Disney Cruise in May. We are looking for something to do that is not WDW Parks. We have thought about Legoland, gatorworld and some water parks any other ideas that two little girls will enjoy? Thanks.

Acquatica at Sea World was my kids' favorite water park of all time! Daughter was 4 and son was 10 at the time. They have a very large 3 story water jungle gym with multiple slides for kids they would enjoy. There also is a really fun rapid lazy river you all can do where you wear life jackets and float around while it pushes you.

As my 8 year old recently said (quoting a WDW planning book we got in the mail) “a disney resort is an attraction unto itself.” We recently did a Disney cruise and kicked it off with a night at the Poly. We swam in the volcano pool, enjoyed some tiki drinks and dole whips, and had a character breakfast a Ohanas the next day before the cruise transfer pick up. I felt like I was on vacation from the moment we arrived and got our lei necklaces.

Kennedy Space Center. It’s not Orlando but it’s about an hour away and the Atlantis and Apollo V Rocket exhibits are amazing.

Yes, Kennedy Space Center's good. Also maybe Universal, always really good. Haven't been there in years but Seaworld's also good in my experience. As for water parks, you could try Volcano Bay at Universal (will always miss Wet n Wild)
