I'm going with 3 friends to DCA for 1-day on Saturday, June 4th. I was just wondering on average what crowds are like and how much time we should give ourselves?

Here's the thing. We just went to DL on Easter and got into the park around 11:00 am and stayed until 11:00 pm. By the end of the night, we were exhausted and not having fun. We got everything we wanted to do done and then some. We don't have the ability to go crash at a nearby hotel room, so we want to get everything done while avoiding excess time there. We want to do the following:

Radiator Springs Racers
It's Tough to be a Bug
Soarin
Grizzly Rapids
Tower of Terror
California Screamin
Toy Story Midway Mania
Muppets 3-D
Aladdin
World of Color

I know it's a lot less to do than Disneyland, so what time do you recommend we get there if the park closes around 10 pm or so? Any advice would be great! :thanks:

The crowds are always less in the mornings and build over the day. Especially on a Sunday when people go to church, then the park. I imagine that's also very true on Easter. But anyway, get there at opening, get FP for the first WOC. If you've finished your list early and are tired you can always find somewhere to sit in the GCH lobby or one of the lounges until the show, then leave right after. It's better than showing up later and trying to fill all the time until the show.

I've done DCA in half a day in June at a weekend, so you will be fine :) Like PP said, I would get there as early as you can

1. First thing like PP said get World of Colour Fastpass - well worth it

2. Then run around to Radiator Springs and get a FastPass, if the wait time isn't long you might want to do this now. Get the FastPass for later as you WILL want to do this a second time :)

3. Toystory Mania

4. California Screaming

5. Grizzly Rapids

6. Soaring

7. Little Mermaid

8. Its Tough To Be A Bug

9. Tower of Terror

10. Aladdin

11. Muppets 3D

12. World of Color

Be there at least 30 minutes before the park opens for you. If it opens at 8, be there at 7:30. I wouldn't expect Muppets to be back in June. I think the Frozen Sing Along will be around for the summer. You should be able to do everything on your list. Use FP for RSR, Soaring over CA, and GRR and ride Toy Story as early as possible. We like to avoid the crowds and head around by GRR in the morning (you can get your WOC pass at that time) and go straight to Toy Story first. Then we go and get the FP for RSR. The only downside is that the further out your RSR FP is for the longer you'll have to wait to get another one.

Is the little Mermaid the same one as the one at Magic Kingdom WDW?

Little Mermaid is the same at the MK one.

I agree with previous posters who said to push to go early. You will get much more done between 8 and 11 a.m. than all afternoon! Plan to run around during the cooler, less-busy morning hours, then see the shows like Aladdin, Muppets, and Tough to Be a Bug during the afternoon, plus a more relaxed lunch and/or dinner. Get a bench for the parade and take turns browsing the shops on Buena Vista street while you wait. Then you will be fresh to wait for and see World of Color.
