1 day/2park ticket discounts?

Does Universal ever offer this kind of discount? Or do they ever do an adult pays kids prices like they sometimes do at the Disney Parks? We are going in August and am needing 1 ticket for my mom since I won a free superbowl ticket (I am kicking myself now that I did not register my mom to get one also). I have been checking ebay but have not found a good enough deal to warrent the worry that I know I will have about the ticket not being valid. Just wondering if I should get the ticket/shuttle now or wait till closer to my trip. Any suggestions? Thanks

Its good to check on mousesavers.com - there is a discount listed for AmExp Card Holders for the 1 day/2 park ticket, but the tickets have to be used by 6/30. I would keep checking to see if anything develops. You may also want to check your local AAA Office and Costco Store if you are a member of either or both.

You can also save some money purchasing the tickets online as opposed to buying them at the gate. The big discounts aren't usually found on one day passes...unless you have someone who could buy the tickets for you with their AP.
