1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

Great updates. The Christmas shop photos make me that much more eager for my trip. :lmao::santa:

Thank you! Can you believe that we didn't step foot in the Christmas shop this trip? :worried:

Dinner looked absolutely delicious! Love the "statue" -- I've seen similar in other places before, and they are so funny to watch.

The guy who was being the statue was great. He stayed in character and his movements were so slow and barely noticeable.

Hope you had a great Independence Day. Love the update. Neither JJ nor I have ever seen that archway at HoB. Next time we're at Disney Quest we'll have to go check it out. JJ thinks it's pretty creepy though. How wonderful to get that voucher. Your mama sure is a great sport.

I need to comment after I read, rather than comment hours later off my memory. How could I forget that they didn't go up because the line didn't move. Anyway, your mom is a great sport to be willing to go up.

I hope that you guys had a good 4th too! Tell JJ that the archway was a little bit creepy but not enough to actually creep him out.

Mama doesn't mind heights like I do and if she gets any chance to spend time with Hunter, she'll do it.

Great update! :goodvibes

Thank you!

I'm so far behind! My laptop and desktop crashed :badpc: and I've been without for over a week. I just got my new laptop today and I have about 15 pages to read. :surfweb:

Good to "see" you!

Love the updates Lisa!

We also really love House of Blues, those pictures make me hungry to go back!

That was quite a rain storm you go caught in!

Thank you! I'd love to be sitting at a table at the House of Blues right now. Instead, I have a sandwich in the fridge and waiting until Noon. :headache:

H.O.B. looked good. I love people who think they are above all and need to be sat right away.
Too bad they couldn’t go up.
I love that Christmas Shop.

I don't understand why people think that they can just walk in somewhere and be seated right away. In Disney or anywhere.

Joining in, a little late.

Welcome! It's never ever too late to join!

I'm caught up! :cool1: Wow on the rain, but you make a really cute drowned rat. :rotfl: HoB looks good, ok, so the food looks good. :rotfl2: Is it loud in there? Maybe when mom and DD and I go next year we can eat there.

You are one busy lady! Sometimes I barely want to do laundry and housework on my days off, not to mention after work! But we too need to get updating our house. We have an empty bedroom and I want to gut it and make an exercise room in it.

I certainly didn't feel cute. I was soaked to the bone. :p It's not super loud because Mama would have commented on it. She's got the ears of an....of an....well, she can hear a pin drop and hates loud noises.

We have been busy, that's for sure! We've finished our bedroom and bathroom and the kitchen. I painted Hunter's bathroom last night and now we have to put up the new moulding and baseboard. It's never ending!

Isn't it a great feeling when you complete home projects. Denny and Nick put up new screen and stained our back porch in preparation for Nick's grad party. That and some new porch furniture has really made such a difference. Now if the humidity would only drop low enough to enjoy sitting out there. :rotfl:

It really does feel good when you look back at your handywork. I am with you on the humidity. It's hotter than heck here and the humidity kills ya. :crazy2:

I have never eaten at HOB, but I would love to try it. I love Hunter's picture of the Character in Flight Balloon. So sorry they weren't able to ride. I hope they got the chance later. Denny and I went up on the first balloon in the morning and it was spectacular. Plus we got to stay up for 20 minutes instead of the usual 10. Really cool experience.

Are you the least bit afraid of heights? I ask because I am terrified but would love to see the sights from the balloon.

Fun update, Lisa. And I'd make the men stand and wait it they had laughed at me too.

One of these days we will have to try HOB...we just never seem to be able to fit all the places in that we want to try. Maybe I should suggest to Mark that we go for three weeks next time? ;)

I'm so used to my two men making fun of me. They do it all the time!

Heck yeah, try House of Blues! It's good food!

Good afternoon folks! I finally got replies done. Did ya'll see the post by Tiggerrn2? My trip report was Number Eight on the Top Ten threads for June, 2013! :yay: I have never listened to the Podcasts so I had no idea that there was even such a thing.

I had Hunter Google how many threads are active on the Dis and the number, at that time, was 2,863,429. Holy cow! I can't believe that my report was number 8 out of all them. I want to thank each and every one of you who post or lurk for reading and helping me reach number 8. :woohoo:

I'm working on another installment....the feels like a booger one....now and hope to get it posted before I leave work this afternoon. There's no time to Dis once I get home. The remodeling/refreshing is still going on at the homefront.

Again, thanks ya'll! Let's keep this baby moving on up the Top Ten list!

I did see that and congratulations!!! Lets go for moving up the list for July! :goodvibes I'm sure we can have you at #1 before you're done writing for the trip! :woohoo:

I was just wondering the other night when i was listening to the top ten from may when you would get up there. I guess last month was it.

YAY! I listen to the podcast regularly, but have gotten a bit behind the last week or two. Now I have something extra fun to look forward to!

Congrats on the progress with your work on the house! I had a little chuckle that you can update easier at work than at home! ;)

I have a fear of heights too, but I went to the top of the Eiffel Tower and I'm going up to the Space Needle next month in Seattle. The balloon, however, is WAY too exposed for me and I would not want to do that!:scared1:

That's awesome about being #8. I will have to go look for the podcast. I love the booger story about Lacey and Hunter. Sounds like something either of my boys would do. I love my boys but sometimes they can be such nasty little creatures. Wouldn't change a thing about them though.

First of all, Congrats on making the Top Ten! party:

Wow! I was really behind, which I knew I would be. I'm working toward getting my teaching license and had 3 weeks straight of 8-4 classes and then we were gone last week for a family reunion, so I've just today had a chance to log in here. (I haven't started my TR yet, but I'm hoping to have time this week to get it going!)

I'm glad I haven't missed too too much in the way of park days, however!

Sorry for your bad check-in experience at POFQ. I'm so glad y'all were able to get back in to your room, though and find that contact case! :cool1:

Your misadventures in the rain were quite entertaining!

I think I'll have to add House of Blues to our list of places to dine at DTD.

WOW  congrats on being 8th ! That is so cool !!!!!! You do write some of the best and entertaining trip reports ! I love reading your TR's :thumbsup2

Wow, what an honor! Hey, now I know somebody famous!

LOVE the Hunter/Lacey booger story

So did you price out your 2014 TWO WEEK Trip? I had to put that in all caps because a TWO WEEK trip is awesome.

reelmom--I was just coming to ask her that!

:lmao:

So, Lisa, did ya? Did ya, did ya, did ya?

I know I congratulated you on fb, but I'm so excited for you. Congratulations!! Top 10!! Doing the happy dance and jumping mid air so you can get a picture. ;) Seriously though, as I said there, it's no wonder. It's great trip report, always makes me smile!

You know I think you should be #1....I love all your TR....and I am waiting for you to put them all together and publish a book....I want an autographed copy:cool1:

It is hot and humid in Vermont too and has rained everyday for 3 weeks so the rivers and lakes are at flood level. I live on a hill so if I get flooded we need an ark1 But I feel bad for the farmers who need to cut hay and can't with all the rain.

Looking forward to the update, with all the bad press stuff coming out of Disney I'm ready for something that will lift my spirits about going.

Sorry that I didn't post the update like I wanted to. Lacey called me on my way home from work yesterday and we've been brewing up some plans for a 2014 trip. :stir: Unless something happens, it looks like we'll be joined by not only Lacey and Jesse but Jesse's parents as well.

I got to work a little early this morning and started pricing out different scenarios. :surfweb:

John, Hunter and I will be there for two weeks with two of those nights being free courtesy of Disney. We had a little blip during our 2013 trip which was rectified by Disney by way of two free nights at any moderate resort. I don't want to get into what the blip was but I can tell ya'll that it was thought to be an isolated incident, didn't involve anything criminal (okay....stop thinking about me having to see security while on the cruise :lmao:), wasn't anything that the resort itself did, had nothing to do with mold issues and has been dealt with by some higher ups on the Disney resort ladder. :thumbsup2

Anyway, those two free nights sure helped the two weeks in Disney budget. ::yes:: Lacey and Jesse and his parents would be in Disney for 5, 6 or 7 nights depending on how they can work out their schedules. You may recall that Jesse's dad is a minister, works full time and also helps run a shelter/mission.

We aren't planning on doing everything together. As a matter of fact, that's not what we had in mind at all. We want them to have quality one on one time with both sets of parents and then toss in some dinners and resort time with all of us together. :beach:

So, that's what I've been doing this morning in between what my boss thinks I should do simply because he pays me. :confused3 Billing has to go out today and I'm printing out Statements and envelopes now.

My next installment is halfway written and maybe, just maybe, the boss will decide to head out of her early today and I can finish it up and get it posted.

Woohoo! on #8 :cool1::banana::yay:
I am going to price out the trip that DM, DD and I want to take next year. It's a toss up between CBR and POR. I think that the only way POR would win out is if it is WAAAY cheaper or we could get the room with the extra bed. I really like to stretch out when I sleep. ::yes::
