Ya there seamed to be a lot more people in the Parks. A driver said they had standing room only every load and were leaving the resort full before making all the stops. I think that is why we saw so many arriving at Martinique empty (their first stop)and longer waits. We saw many people complain they did not get a to DNR's on time do to buses. Really? Due to them cutting it to short to begin with.
Yes we went back for the cash and Victor got a big hug from Linda. All the way back that hour Linda kept saying that was the seed money for our next trip. My daughters were in another car and thanked us for the extra 2 hrs to shop and we ended up arriving in Murfreesbourgh Tn. 5 min after they did.

I agree with AoA having a lack of shade, but the resort really makes you feel like you are in WDW.

Lisa, I'm back and caught up. I skipped all the chatter in between, but I did read each and every update. Love the pictures around POFQ; we visited a few years ago and I forgot about those headless dolls. So glad youa re back "home" where you love to be.

Finally caught up! Still at the world but taking advantage of the free wifi I have to say we're staying at the wilderness lodge and while it's a beautiful resort my one complaint is the counter service restaurant is not what we would say is variable? We are here for ten days and I have already tried every sandwich and salad. Mickey waffles are perfect as always!!! Hope you are adjusting to the non Disney life okay! Going to have to readjust my mode in a few days!

When you said it was good to be back at CBR I'm afraid that's the way I'm going to feel. I love Pop but we are staying at All Star Sports because its a gift from my mom and I wanted her to spend the least amount of money. River is looking forward to staying there so I'm really going to try and like it.

Yes POFQ is small but for us old folks and people with health problems it is perfect. Not a lot of walking. When we stayed at POR we liked it better and after trying both food courts POFQ can't hold a candle POR. Only 5 min. apart on the river path. I thought the Beignets sucked. Linda, a chef said they should not call them Beignets. A of A looks good if you need to save. Looking for more.

I have spent the morning catching up on last year's report and starting this one. I have loved reading about your family's travels for years. I have to admit I've taken an "extended" break from the DIS because, honestly, when we didn't have our next trip planned it just got a little too hard. Well, now we've got something in the works and I have a bit of free time so I'm trying to catch up on everything.

It's great to see your reports, except for one small thing....I am absolutely terrified of what I call "low wildlife" (I can't even bear to write the name), so I don't enjoy that whole piece of the report. Still, you guys have so much fun that I will try to hang in there.

I was just browsing through a thread where people post their crowd pictures and came across one you posted with your ds in it from 2008. Oh my how he has grown since then!!

I have pictures of my own kids from our first trip in 2008 and when I look at them now it makes me all teary. They grow so fast! I'm so grateful for all the Disney memories we have as a family.

Lunch at CBR looks yummy. I love all of the different desserts. You don't see the pineapple upside down cake or monkey cupcake everywhere.

The food at the CBR was much better than the food at French Quarter.

I have been reading (and loving) your trip reports for years. It just occurred to me tonight that we were in the same building on your last night. We were in building 22 in Martinique 5/31-6/2. We live semi-locally so we rarely stay on property.
Now I am addicted! I love Caribbean Beach! It is so relaxing and vacation-y!

We were so happy when we found John's "magic medicine" case. We would have worried about that the rest of the trip had we not found it.

The AoA was so neat and I loved the theming. Just wished that there were more shaded sitting areas.

I hope that ya'll are having a great time. Your complaint about WL's counter service isn't the first that I've heard. I think that most deluxe resorts have little CS and not much variety.
