1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

You've been an updating fool! It sounds like you are having a great time too! I haven't done the great movie ride or catastrophe canyon in a long time. I need to get there again.

Holy updates Batman!

Sorry to hear about Mom's panel. They just don't want you to put the other mom's to shame with your Disney knowledge is all. There is always next year!

Love how Hunter psyched himself up for Tower of Terror. That and Rockin Rollercoaster are my favorite rides in Disney. I could spend all day on them!

Next time I am at Muppets I am going to have to look around. I never noticed all those details! Although I find different things everytime I go to Disney. It is crazy.

I am also going to buy all the Disney artwork when I win the lottery. I have one painting of the castle in DL so naturally I need a Cinderella castle painting too right? It seems only fair.

We didn't get to do Muppets either. :sad2:

You are a crazy updating machine today!!!

Loved all the fun you had at DHS. TSM is my most favorite thing to do!! I have quite the competition going with myself. I NEED to be better than a Beaver!!

Yesterday was one of the slower days for me thus all the updates. Of course, today it's swamped!:scared:

I LOVE the muppets! I get a little sad when I think about how I grew up on the muppets and my kids will only ever know the "most famous" ones.. ie kermit, miss piggy, fozzy... It makes me sad to think of what the world is coming to.

The picture of "the kids" is a great one!! They look like they are having fun!

I remember watching The Muppet Show! Maybe you could buy your kids the DVDs of the television show.

"Updating fool" for sure! The boss had clients all day yesterday and I couldn't get in there to have him look at the things that I had done so I had extra time.

You feeling okay?

Holy updates Batman!

It ain't over 'til it's over and I haven't heard any rumors of the Panel going away so I'll keep applying.

Poor Hunter. He knew that it would be fun but he still gets the jitters.

Next time I am at Muppets I am going to have to look around. I never noticed all those details! Although I find different things everytime I go to Disney. It is crazy.

There are several other cute details in the line outside but I only took pictures of two because we were moving quickly.

I am also going to buy all the Disney artwork when I win the lottery. I have one painting of the castle in DL so naturally I need a Cinderella castle painting too right? It seems only fair.

Of course that sounds fair to me!

Wow! I guess I got a little behind. Great updates for sure! Yay for Hunter for braving TOT. My 7 year old went on it last time, and loved the drops, but hated the "scary family."

I can't wait to see the Muppet 3D again. We didn't go last time because our kids freaked out on Bug's Life 3D and we didn't want to subject them to another one. Wimps.

Looks like you had a great day at Hollywood Studios!

It's funny that the drops were nothin' but the scary family was too scary. :rotfl: Ah, the minds of a 7 year old.

I wonder if there are any Muppetvision videos on youtube? That'd be a great way to show them that it's nothing like It's Tough To Be A Bug.

We have an appellate brief due right after the Thanksgiving holiday and it's one that's going to take quite a few drafts to get it just right. So, I'm trying to get every single thing off my desk and my boss's desk before we leave on Wednesday. Don't want anything getting in our way once it's time to get everything sent to the Court of Appeal.

My boss is supposed to be out later this afternoon and, because I have the next update halfway done, I hope to get it posted before I leave work today. Once I get home, it's back to sewing, cooking, cleaning, painting the utility room, etc.

Hope to get back here in a bit with the update.

and here I'll sit patiently (ok, not so patiently) waiting....
Oh wait? Am I at work? Hmmmm then I probably should be working, huh? Darned work gets in the way of my life!! Ugh!!! It's ok, though, I'll check back in a while for the update!! :thumbsup2

Just shuffle some stuff around on your desk and act like you're working. ;)

Prepare to merge like you’ve never merged before!

Just as we were finishing up Toy Story Mania, Mama called again and said that the bus had arrived and she was walking towards bag check. We told her that we would head towards the front of the park and meet up with her. She saw us immediately which may have had something to do with the fact that we were hollering Mamaw! :teeth: and waving our hands around in the air. :yay: Not really but I do think that we may have waved a time or two.

It was almost time to use our Rock N Roller Coaster Fastpasses so we started off in that direction, all the while asking what Mama had done without us. She had spent time strolling around the resort, making phone calls and had eaten “the best soup and breadsticks” at the food court. She had meet another older couple and struck up a conversation with them while sitting outside of Old Port Royale. Guess she was just being a social butterfly, flitting about the resort and meeting new folks. :butterfly

As we walked along, Hunter decided that he really didn’t want to ride Rock N Roller Coaster. It’s another one of those that freaks him the heck out and I didn’t want to put any pressure on him since he had already ridden Tower of Terror. Besides, now Mama would have somebody to sit with while we were inside.

Getting close to our destination:

A little closer:

Mama and Hunter found a place to sit in the shade and off we went. Before long, we were inside the recording studio :rockband::

Going into the garage where our stretch limo would pick us up:

Click on the picture below to watch a short video. Warning! You’ll have to turn your head to the side to watch it. Prepare to merge like you’ve never merged before! :drive:

Man I love Rock N Roller Coaster! I also love Aerosmith! Best combination EVER! :cool1:

Bathroom breaks were in order and I found one of my favorite hidden Disney gems. Look closely at what the bathroom door lock says:

Hiny Hiders.....how clever and funny is that? :lmao:

We had a dinner ADR at Mama Melrose’s but it wasn’t for a while so, instead of just sitting around and waiting for the time to pass, we decided to go back to Muppetvision 3D so Mama could see one of her favorites. Sights along the way:

Mama enjoyed it just as much this time as she did in the past and laughed along with John when Miss Piggy went flying off through the water. After the show, we popped into the store to look around a bit:

There was still a little time to kill so we found a spot to sit down and wait it out. The view from our outside table:

**Up next: Lady, please don’t give him any lip! Now is not the right time!

Cool video! I love that roller coaster. Can't wait until my girls are big enough to ride it, as I'm sure they'll love it.

I don't know why, but the picture of your kids and Mama made me smile. Something about the different looks on their faces.

And Hiney Hider. :rotfl2:

Lady, please don’t give him any lip! Now is not the right time!

Remember at The Wave, when John wasn’t feeling so super hot? Well, epilepsy was rearing it’s ugly head again. :sad2: John was having a few facial twitches and had to put a couple of “magic pills” under his tongue. We never know what triggers the twitches and/or auras. :confused3 I sure wish that we did! Again, when he doesn’t feel too good, it’s best to just let the “magic pills” take effect, leave him be a while and he’ll start feeling better. He said that he would be okay and we went ahead and checked in at the restaurant.

Thankfully, we didn’t have a long wait and were soon seated at a large table near the back of the restaurant. Unfortunately, we had a waitress who would have been perfect IF she were working at 50's Prime Time. I couldn’t tell if she were putting on an act or if she really was a smart aleck. All I know was she was being a farthead. Like I said, I don’t know if she was trying to put on this big “New York” attitude or what but she was smarty to our whole table. She was “honeying and sweetieing” (and not in a kind way) each of us and coping an attitude and, by the time she came around to taking John’s drink order, he had had enough of it. She said something smarty and John responded with something like “You gonna keep that smart butt attitude?” to which she replied “Oh honey, I can give you an attitude if you want it.” :scared1:

Lady, please don’t give him any lip! Now is not the right time! I gave her a pleading “back your butt off” look and rolled my eyes at her like “please!”

If any of you are familiar with epilepsy, it can cause big, I’m talking huge, mood swings. A person can be pleasant as can be one minute and a bear the next. Right then, John was a grizzly. This woman had no idea what she was in for if she didn’t tone it down. Sometimes, John, truly, doesn’t remember what he has said until we tell him afterwards. I’m not trying to make excuses for him but it’s true. Factor in the fact that John was treated like a piece of poo a lot and took a lot of verbal abuse when he was living at home, mix that up with epilepsy and it can equal an uncomfortable moment.

I could, literally, see the lightbulb go off in her head like “Oh wow, I need to zip my lips”. When she returned with the drinks, she was a whole ‘nother person. Also, by this time, John’s “magic medicine” had kicked in. Thank you Lord! The whole evening could have been a total epileptic bust! Have I ever mentioned that EPILEPSY SUCKS? And not just for the epilepsy patient but also for everybody in their family.

Anyway, she was much nicer when she was taking our entree orders and even sat down next to some of us and made suggestions. She also said something to John quietly and I can tell that she was apologizing. John said something back and gave her a little hug on the shoulder. All was well in the world again. :thumbsup2

Our entrees arrived after a short while. I do not recall exactly what each entree was called but I have pictures. Will that work?

Anybody wanna guess who ordered this:

Mama ordered spaghetti and I didn’t get a picture of it. It was just the typical spaghetti and meatballs and she said that it was okay. I don’t know what in the world made her decide to order it since we make our own spaghetti sauce at home and it’s out of this world good. Nobody can beat it. Everyone else thought their food was great.

Our waitress came by several times asking if we needed anything and refilled our drinks. Once we were done, she took our dessert orders. Waiting on desserts:

I guess that I didn’t take a single picture of our desserts. What the heck was up with me? Everybody knows that a good trip report needs food pictures! I was definitely slacking that evening! Desserts done, we settled our tickets and left a tip. Yeah, I left a nice tip even though the evening hadn’t started off that great.

So, now that I’m looking forward into my Photobucket library, I see that we didn’t actually go see Muppetvision3D before our meal. We must have just ducked into the shop and window shopped. We do go back later though.

Mama remembers the attractions but she doesn’t always remember what park they are in. She’ll describe the attraction to us and then we figure it out. She was telling us about some astronaut robot thing who took over a spaceship and we went flying around space with 3D glasses on. We knew that it wasn’t Space Mountain because there was no astronaut/robot. We knew that it wasn’t Mission Space ‘cause she has never ridden it. That narrowed it down to Star Tours. That was it!

The standby line wasn’t too long:

Sporting our 3D glasses:

As soon as the ride was over, Mama looked at us and said “Yep, that was what I was talking about.”

**Up next: Where are my satin evening gowns?

Wow! So glad things didn't get worse at Mama's! There could have been some serious issues going on... Good thing the waitress came to her senses and the magic pills kicked in.

Your son is gonna start looking like Pizza! :rotfl:

I don't know what was up with the waitress but she really didn't need to have an attitude that evening. Actually, she should have had an attitude anytime.

Hunter could eat pizza every single day. If you add some french fries, he's in hog heaven.

Cool video! I love that roller coaster. Can't wait until my girls are big enough to ride it, as I'm sure they'll love it.

I had no idea that I had to hold the camera a certain way when I took the video. Crazy me.

I forgot to say that Hunter had bought some light up drumsticks in the store. He was bummed that they were already not working correctly. I have no idea what Mama was thinking. Lacey was as cheery as ever. By the way, we took the drumsticks back and they replaced them.

Just shuffle some stuff around on your desk and act like you're working. ;)

Worked like a charm!! People actually thought I was working! :rotfl: And you posted prior to 4:30pm which is when my workday ends! Awesome update! Gee, I'm thinking the pizza was Mama's?? No? Lacey's? hmmmm I bet it was Hunter's! I just love your Mama in her 3D glasses. That's one hot mamaw right there!!! ::yes::

Holy Cow! I missed a lot there! Great updates - I wish I had the guts (literally) to go on RnR! It looks so fun, but I lost my ability to tolerate coasters after I had kids for some reason. :confused3

Good thing that waitress at Mama's figured it out! We don't want anyone to incur the wrath!

I know you'll be busy - so if I am not back here before then - I wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!!

I do always feel so bad when you talk about John's epilepsy and his moodiness associated with it. I can't help but think that the pathways in the brain that get stimulated are the same as with the moodiness and anger of bipolar. It's like a switch if flipped and there is no going back. Thank goodness he has a reliable medication that keeps his mood stable. It just must be a terrible feeling for him.

I really hope the waitress was just messing with you guys and its awesome that she recognized to quit (thanks to you) and the meal had a happy ending. Way to go Lisa!

All the food looks yummy. We had a nice meal there last June. We almost blew off the ADR but decided to go for it and I'm glad we did.

I don't think I'm completely caught up yet, but I hope to. I have been MIA for the last month and I am slowly making my way through everyone's TRs.

I like to take pictures of the artwork they have for sale too. I can't afford to buy it but I take pics of my favorite ones so I can still look at them.

I rode RnRC for the first time this trip. I got so sick from the launch and then my head was banging around in the vehicle the whole time. I really wanted to like it but once was enough for me:sick:

That waitress must have been playing a part. I can't believe she would act that way if she weren't and be expecting to get a tip. I'm glad John's magic pills kicked in and the evening turned around.

Well, I'm hoping since it's Sunday, that I'm caught up and I can STAY caught up without you posting something right after me! :rotfl2:

I agree with TinkerTam- Hunter is gonna turn into a slice of Pizza! ;) I'm considering changing up my HS day… and your post has me thinking…

YAY for Jesse and Lacey driving early down to Disney! It's nice that they were okay with them bunking up with Mama that night! And how sweet of them to decorate and have a little "party" for you and Mamaw!

AKL looks amazing- I want to try Boma one day! I know I love TH and I've heard that it's similar food.

Okay, I think that's all I can remember! Good luck on the work stuff this week!
