1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

HMM Boma looks rather tasty. My DH would be all up on that meat. LOL.

We saw two snakes at CBR 3 weeks ago... YIKES! Within 5 minutes of being there... I read an article where a little boy got bit by a copperhead there a few years ago and the mom was just advising that if you have children, to make sure they stay on the sidewalks and I had just gotten it out of my mouth for the boys to stay close... Landen (2) kept hollering "nake nake" that whole first day. LOL..

I am hoping to start a TR soon too!

The meat was delicious so I'm sure that your hubby would have loved it!

After all that wonderful talking that I did about the resort and you see two snakes right off the bat. :scared: I remember the story that you are talking about.

Let me know when you start the report.

Hugs. So sorry about round 3. I think they made a big mistake. You'll get em next year.

Thank you for the kind words! I'll never give up trying!

Boo, was hoping to come in here and see you made it to round 3.

Thanks! I wanted to move forward but I'm okay. There had to be a ton of great people to choose from and I wasn't one of them....this time.

Well fiddle dee dee! I was about to start writing the next update but after looking at Photobucket, I realize that there are some pictures missing. I've said it before and I'll say it again....I love having two cameras at my disposal while on trips but it makes organizing pictures a pain in the rear end. Let me see what I can find and I'll get them uploaded to photobucket. I was on a trip report writing roll too. UGH!

Sorry you didn't make it to round 3. It is truely their loss. You have a great attitude about it. One can only do so much.

I think after reading a few review this last week I decided that Boma is a must do on next trip. If for no other reason to see those lights. Ok, I'm thinking first day with no park ticket so I can spend time looking around resort.

Love the store about John's sleeping habits. I always know I can come to your report for a good fun laugh. (Remember I am laughing with you not at you.) Really I do enjoy your reports.

Hearing about your Mom this trip reminds me of my Grandma. I'm glad you have such a great relationship with her.

OH man, they don't know what they are missing!!!

You would have made a wonderful addition to the panel!

Sorry to hear about the mom's panel. Personally I think the reason you didn't get chosen is you are TOO awesome and would have made the others look bad! Next year you will need to tone down the awesomeness until you make it. :)

It seems to me that they really missed the boat when they didn't pick you for the mom's panel.

I love Wolfgang Puck too! Can you believe that it took us years to even try it? If only we had known what we were missing out on.

At least you can enjoy it now. :thumbsup2

We found Boma okay. The butternut squash soup is delicious but you can get in the Mara also. The zebra domes I was so disappointed in.
You should into renting points there sometime; it is a great place to stay.
LOL about the snake.
Nice you got to hang out at the resort and that Lacey did that surprise.
ROTF about the rocking chair story.
I agree about the 2 cameras. I use three if you count my phone and I just go by the time stamp.

Wow!! You have been busy updating while I have been busy with DD and her dancing.

Loved all the updates. I am all caught up, but there is so much to comment on that I think I'll just say
:faint: to the snake
:beach: sorry you missed out on the full resort views at CSR. You'd really love it there I think.
:cheer2: that Jessie and Lacey have arrived
:goodvibes to times spent with family.
glad you enjoyed your dinner at BOMA.

I think I am all caught up now. (Here and all my others.... time to go do some updating of my own. I am desperately behind there as well.)

I know I have some catching up to do, but I enjoyed your last update. Boma is so yummy and I got to enjoy a few Zebra Domes on my October trip. :thumbsup2

Ewww to the snake. I am NOT a fan and I am glad a snake didn't cross my path while we were just staying there. :scared:

So glad that every one had a nice evening hanging by the pool. Too funny about John tipping the chair over and not even knowing it. You're right - you totally needed a picture of that. :rotfl: Although it was probably a little scary at the time.

bummer about mom's panel. You would have been great, but at least we all know you and still can use your expertise here! More time for these great TRs!!

Glad Jesse and Lacey got there early with more time to enjoy! We did that once, deciding to keep driving through the night instead of stopping and ended up booking a room at the Swan for a night while we were somewhere in Georgia or northern Florida. I'd happily (well, maybe not happily...) drive all night for an extra day at WDW. In fact, we usually do it that way.

We really like Boma and AKL too. We've stayed there a couple times, maybe 3 now. Lots of good food options and an amazing beautiful resort.

So nice that you got to spend some quality family time and had so much fun!

First off :confused3 that you weren't chosen to advance to the Mom's Panel. You would be perfect!

I had quite a few updates to catch up on.

I love your Illuminations pictures. The closeup ones are GREAT!

What a fantastic family photo. And nice that you have a connection to the people who took it for you.

I know what you mean about the cold busses! We had one of those on our last trip. Oh my!

What a flirt that Hunter is!

That is awesome that Lacey and Jesse arrived early and the solution to their late/early arrival was a great one.

Your lunch at Wolfgang's place looked really good- we have never been.

:cool1: on a tour of CSR :sad2: on it being too hot to really explore.

Boma! Boma! Boma!

My favorite Disney restaurant. I'm glad you loved it. And you all worked up an appetite getting there!

So was that your first visit to AKL? It really is beautiful!

Congrats on surviving your snake encounter. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

A poolside family gathering is a great way to end another magical Disney day!

I am truly surprised that you were not selected for the Mom's Panel. Keep trying, I know that they wise up sooner or later :thumbsup2

I'm sorry

Thank you! It's okay, really. I'll keep trying!

Sorry you didn't make it to round 3. It is truely their loss. You have a great attitude about it. One can only do so much.

Yep, I couldn't have done anything else. Thank you!

I think after reading a few review this last week I decided that Boma is a must do on next trip. If for no other reason to see those lights. Ok, I'm thinking first day with no park ticket so I can spend time looking around resort.

That's a good idea. We are going on our "off day" so that we'll have time to explore.

Love the store about John's sleeping habits. I always know I can come to your report for a good fun laugh. (Remember I am laughing with you not at you.) Really I do enjoy your reports.

I know that ya'll are just laughing with me. It's certainly okay even if you were laughing at us though.

Hearing about your Mom this trip reminds me of my Grandma. I'm glad you have such a great relationship with her.

Love my Mama even if she is a jewelry loving, worry wart. :rotfl:

Sorry you didn't make it to round 3 you would have been great.

Thank you Judy!

OH man, they don't know what they are missing!!!

You would have made a wonderful addition to the panel!

Aww, thank you! I'll get there one day.

Shucks! :confused3 All they would have to do is check out some of your TR's and see how knowledgeable you are and what a following you have to know you would have been perfect on the Mom's Panel. Oh well, we would rather ask our questions to you directly, anyway!! They are just missing out on a good thing. :confused3

Sorry to hear about the mom's panel. Personally I think the reason you didn't get chosen is you are TOO awesome and would have made the others look bad! Next year you will need to tone down the awesomeness until you make it. :)

Aww, thank you! That's sweet of you to say!

It seems to me that they really missed the boat when they didn't pick you for the mom's panel.

Thanks! You're getting close to moving in your new home!

At least you can enjoy it now. :thumbsup2

And we intend to eat there again in May.

We found Boma okay. The butternut squash soup is delicious but you can get in the Mara also. The zebra domes I was so disappointed in.

I didn't care for the soup too much because it was a tad too sweet. The zebra domes were not my cup of tea but John loved them.

You should into renting points there sometime; it is a great place to stay.

Got any points to rent? :rotfl:

LOL about the snake.

It was funny afterward but I about pee'd my pants.

Nice you got to hang out at the resort and that Lacey did that surprise.

They were such sweeties for surprising us.

ROTF about the rocking chair story.

Poor John! He was just so drugged up that he didn't even know that he fell over.

I agree about the 2 cameras. I use three if you count my phone and I just go by the time stamp.

I love having a couple of different cameras but it's definitely a pain in the rear end to find all of my pictures.

Wow!! You have been busy updating while I have been busy with DD and her dancing.

I had to do it while I could.

Loved all the updates. I am all caught up, but there is so much to comment on that I think I'll just say
:faint: to the snake

Me to! :faint:

:beach: sorry you missed out on the full resort views at CSR. You'd really love it there I think.

It looks like a lovely resort. I may try to schedule a day of resort hopping so we can go back over and look around some more.

:cheer2: that Jessie and Lacey have arrived
:goodvibes to times spent with family.
glad you enjoyed your dinner at BOMA.

There's no better place than Disney to spend time with family!

I think I am all caught up now. (Here and all my others.... time to go do some updating of my own. I am desperately behind there as well.)

I need to pop over to your report to see if you updated.

About to post replies but wanted to give ya'll an update on my Disney Parks Moms Panel application. I didn't make it to Round 3. I'm okay with that because, as I said in my previous posts, I answered the questions to the best of my ability and in my video, I stayed true to myself. That's all that I could have done. There's always next year!

Just wanted to say how sorry I am. I sure don't know what it is they are looking for. Would love to hear from someone that made it past the video selection about what it is they did or said.

Just wanted to say hello - I read through a lot of your TR on my lunch break here, and just saw your post about Boma. Do you remember if you tried the Babotie? My mom and I make a version of it, since we were both born in South Africa, but I'm curious what theirs was like. We didn't do Boma last time (and even we did, we're Jewish & keep kosher, so we wouldn't have had it) so I was wondering.

Loving your report - so much fun. Sorry about the Mom's Panel :( silly people, don't they know you already have an audience that loves you?? ;)
