They live 5 houses down from us, she works at the same place I do, our kids have grown up together & my youngest son Cody is best friends with their son Alex. Rich was like a second dad to my son

Just wanted to say Hi to uncw! I lived in the Wilmington area for 15 years, and Glenn (glennbo123) lived there for a few years also.
DS21 graduates in May also, although I'm not as old as Kathy.....
And the same taste in "Grumpy" husbands!!!

The funny thing is my DH is the least grumpiest person I know but it is the only Disney character he will wear.

Thank you Rosie. I should be in bed but having a hard time sleeping so watching American Idol. I will be READY for vacation in May. It just goes to show you just never know. I cannot express enough how much enjoyment I get from our family vacations to Disney. The fun times & memories are priceless.

Thank you. Yes Alex is taking it very hard. I cannot imagine losing a parent at 16 years old. Alex just made the varsity baseball team for the high school & there is nothing Rich enjoyed more than seeing his son play sports. Alex is a GREAT athlete. He plays baseball & basketball & also played hockey & soccer when he was younger. It will be tough to not have his dad there cheering him on.

Hi everyone. What an emotional few days.I am taking tomorrow off & the services are on Saturday. I spent a few hours at Angie's yesterday & a little bit today. They are doing as well as can be expected. Thank you all for your thoughts & prayers. I told Angie there are many people praying for them that they do not even know. Rich was the "life of the party" kind of guy & will be missed by SO many people. Ok enough with the sad stuff...

On to happier things....Ok my mind is a little fuzzy & I do not even know where I left off..Oh yeah I think it was early flight..getting to Hard Rock Hotel. We hired Ed Korgan to take us from MCO to Hard Rock Hotel & then he will pick us up at HRH & bring us to POFQ.

When I called Disney to book our trip we got 15% off the room (for some reason only 15% on POFQ but other mod's were 30% off). Just our luck. When I booked the regular dining plan she said we also got a % off of that too. . I'm not sure what that was all about as I thought it was just the resort that had the discount but I was not going to question it. So we have the dining plan with 6 day hoppers. In all our trips we have always gotten the park hoppers so we can do a park in the a.m., back to the resort in the afternoon for my pool time & then another park in the p.m. Some days we may not park hop but that's ok. I like having the option.

I will let you know about our ADR's later. I will tell you that I asked Ryan where he would like to eat & mentioned 2 places-LeCellier & Crystal Palace (he likes his buffets)!

Last Saturday DH & I went shopping for some new sneakers & sandals & I got a new "toy" that I cannot wait to try out on our trip:

I have never had Keens before but everyone that does raves about them & says I will love them. I hope so for the price. They cost almost as much as my new video recorder.

I have been wanting a small video recorder. We have a JVC recorder but still a little bulky & have never brought it with us on vacation. We usually only use it on Christmas morning.

I did some research on the Flip, the Kodak & the Zi8. I liked the idea that the Kodak is water proof & has the memory cards. I also looked at some of the reviews on Youtube & the Kodak took some great videos. The only negatives were the battery life is only about 2 hours & bad low light conditions. So I may buy another battery & I will charge it up when we are at the resort in the afternoon. So I may be posting lots of video on my TR!!

I didn't take any pictures of my DH sneakers because they are just boring white sneakers & also a pair of black ones. He likes to wear white ones during the day & black ones for night. Don't ask me why

I ordered these online on last Tuesday through Undercover Tourist & got them by Saturday. And they came with a lanyard which I did not expect. Only one though..

Yes the recorder uses memory cards so I bought a 16GB memory card & may get another one. One 16GB holds approx. 100 minutes but I may get carried away and may need another one. It is just a teeny tiny bit bigger than my phone. I can be technically challenged at times but this is SO easy to use. Another reason I gotta love it.

Disney shopping is the best! I have new shorts coming in the mail soon I hope.

No lanyard??? Yeah I am not sure if I will be using it either. You do need to show your resort ID for front of the line though so I may use it. I do have other ones though. Not sure what the boys will be using. They are not big on lanyards.

I'm joining!! My graduation trip in 2007 was to WDW so it will be nice to relive this!! My bro is also working at Universal so it will be nice to hear how it is since I've never been there! We're hoping to stay at FQ in June for a few nights (Vero Beach for a few too). We just got back on Monday from FQ and LOVED the new upgrades and I'm sure you will too!!!!
