I love that song. We actually bought the personalized CD awhile back (where all the songs say Ashlyn in it) and I've planned on playing it at her birthday party.

I have ordered a custom cake from Pat before. I ordered one last year and it was really, really good. They do a great job at the GF Bakery.

I've ordered another one for this year too. I'm sure it will be awesome. Pat will help you create any type of cake that you want. I'm sure you will be pleased.

Have you looked at the cake chatter thread? There are a ton of pictures of various cakes on it.

Thanks Sophia! I have being reading along on the cake chatter threads. That's where I have learned it is so hit or miss with people being happy with the cakes. I was told that it is better to give a general direction that super specifics like I want three roses...20 mickey heads...etc. I gave a general direction and I am letting them run wild with it. Hopefully it will turn really well!!

I think the song on the morning of her bday is an excellent idea and I think if I had a daughter listening to that on her bday while she is smiling ear to ear would have me in tears. Got to LOVE Holiday Market!! As you know, I order all of our cakes from there! YUMMY! I hope Allyn had a great bday! Did he like his flip camera?

Love the invitations you made for Lilian! What a special touch! I was going to make an invitation for Emily to BBB. I made one last year for a DIS friends little girl and sent it to her before she went to Disney. She was so excited and I want to do the same for Emily! I would make the restaurant ones too, but we have been known to change ADR's last minute...like and hour before the meal. I might add the CRT dinner on the BBB invitation though, that ADR is a definite!

Thanks Wendy for the recommendation (and taste at Emily's birthday party). We were really impressed--nice and moist. He has played with it a bit here and there, so far he does! He has not really played with it too much yet but wants to before Disney. Of course he is planning on taking it with us!

I think you should!! She will love it--especially since she will be able to read it herself. You know I keep tweaking our ADRs but we are happy with them. Now we just need to see if they happen once we are down there.

Firts off, so sorry for spelling Lilian's name wrong. My friend's daughter has 2 LLs Did I read that you booked ur Sep/Oct trip?? Hurray! Leanne had such great things to say about your meet. Can"t wait to meet you myself!! Those invites are sooo And the doll. Avery has an AG but not a Disney one. What will Lilian wear to the tea? I know u read my BBB review. I think it will be such fun. Hope she is feeling better fast!!

You're fine Mary!! We knew we have chosen to spell it differently than the traditional spelling. She knows how to spell her name, so that is what is important.

You did read that we have booked a trip for next September/October!! Are you coming!?! I will be so excited to meet you!! It was great meeting Leanne and her family. We will be looking forward to seeing them again.

Lilian has a dress that I picked up for her. I had her try it on today for the first time and she called it a lady dress. She asked me if her lady dress is going to Disney. She looks so cute in it!

My biggest advice to you with the GG is to make sure to schedule a little time for just your family. Maybe its just you and your DH and your DD going for a swim or something, but I think some alone time is really important!! I really like the idea of you and Lilian having some special mommy & me time when the guys are golfing!!! I would love to have a couple hours alone with my kids in the MK!!! I think that would be really special!!

We scheduled this GG a little different. Last time we all did EVERYTHING together and had no idea what we were doing!! This time thanks to my DIS Research, I have it all planned out! We know what parks we will go to and where we will be eating and then with all that time between meals, people can go off on their own or stick with the group. We also have it so the last 3days is just my immediate family.

It sounds like you have this all planned out so nice. They will really appreciate it - trust me!!! It makes the vacation so much nicer knowing where you are going and where you will eat!!

I have no idea if that is going to be possible! I think we are pretty much going to have family with us at all points--unless during our midday breaks they do not come to pool with us. Even then though, I think my Dad and BIL will be with us unless they stay to watch a tv show or take a nap.

MY MIL asked if we are going to give an itinerary out to them. I said I would give them something that says Where in the World will Lilian Be that first day.

They are sensitive to caffeine or so they say, which is why they don't eat chocolate. I can bargain with them and say that we have the Halloween party that evening so their sleep won't be affected.

I'm excited to Leanne. It is not a definite yet though because it will depend on my school schedule next fall. I hope to be in my PhD program at that point. Too many variables over the next year. BUT, we wanted to have it booked and are planning it.

I'm really looking forward to our trip. I have reservations, but I am trying to get over them. I think BBB will be a priceless experience!!

Stephanie! I can't believe you are in the teens!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you, sorry about Lilian's ear infection, but I agree with you, if it has to happen better now than later!! That was my worry with the kiddos too leading up to our trip!

Those invitations are AWESOME! Maybe have Lilian hand deliver the tea invites?? My parents (especially my mom) LOVED the afternoon tea and commented how she would love to take Helen! I think it will be a very special afternoon and I think it's great you are getting her the doll too! That will make it extra special! Her birthday cake sounds so yummy, we never travel to WDW during an event, I might have to change that just so I can order a cake!! Cake is my favorite food!!! The Ariel dress is really cute too! I have started classes again for the fall semester. I will be crazy busy, but at least I enjoy staying busy. I have been slowing ticking away at things I want to do for our trip as well as need to get still. I am not going to get every single little thing I wanted done, but that is fine with me! I am happy with what I have managed to get done and how the trip seems to be shaping up. Without further ado…

17: Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!

I am so happy that we are going to be able to attend MNSSHP! It seems like a great ending to Lilian’s actual birthday. It is the first party of the year, so I am not quite sure what to expect. I need to read a little more of last year’s thread regarding the party.

Lilian has a couple costume options, so we will see what she ends up wearing. DH and I decided against costumes, with it being so hot this time of year. Things we are looking forward to during MNSSHP:

--Meeting Sophia and Joe
--Trick or Treating in Magic Kingdom!
--Boo to You Parade
--HalloWishes
--Meeting Snow White and the Dwarfs
--Meeting the Princesses and Princes
--Picture of Cinderella’s Carriage but that may not be possible since it is rumored it will not be out this year.
--Riding HM​
