We will be staying at SSR in Oct. Arriving on a Friday (early evening), this is our cash night and we will be using some of my SIL's pts for the rest of the trip.

We have never done a trip using pts. In the past I have always booked packages with Dreams Unlimited. So I have a few questions...

Do you think we will have to switch rooms after our first night?

Which do you prefer the Springs section or Congress Park?

My SIL & her family will be arriving on Saturday, there our 10 of us in all.
We will be purchasing the dining plan. How does this work. I am assuming that when I check back in on Saturday I will have to purchase the DDP. My SIL says that we will have to get it for 8 days vs. 7 days. Saturday arrival through Saturday check out.

When I called to add the cash day to the front end of our trip I requested Magical Express. When should I expect the luggage tags? Do I need to reserve ME for our departure to go back to MCO now or when we are at the resort?

Hopefully someone can help me out.

Thanks :sunny:

When I made a ressie mixing points and cash, I recieved 2 different confirmation numbers, but I asked that they be linked. That way we won't have to change rooms. If you made both ressies through member services they can be linked. If you made the cash ressie through CRO, they can not. If this is what you did, you can ask when you check in to keep the same room. I'm not sure how often this would work though.

I prefer the Springs section because I like the close walk to the main pool and the restaurants. That's where we stayed last time and it was very convienent.

Assuming this is a CRO cash reservation, you may or may not have to change rooms. And since you are not a member, I doubt this is a cash room through MS. You will indeed be required to buy DDP for the entire LOS and entire party size no matter what day they are arriving, it's all or none. It will only be for 7 nights, not 8 days though. Is your family arriving on Sunday in a different unit, if not, you'll have to get the DDP for them starting from YOUR check in day. If they are in a separate unit, they will have the choice from when they check in. Remember this must be arranged through MS PRIOR to check in.
