1 card two trips?

okay DM has the card and staying at BC and will have the member card. Now she is leaving the day I am arriving so we wil be like ships in the night. We are staying at POF for a change as it is a quick trip and you couldn't beat the cash rate. How will we make the switch? Can't get two cards until July when loan is finished.
Do you think she can leave it for me at the BC desk? Can she have it sent to POF?
Any thoughts?

I'm sure you could leave it at the desk, but I'm still very confused why you can't get a second card?
My wife and I each had our own card right from the rip, and we had a loan with DVC.

I have never needed my membership card for anything other than the number when calling to make a ressie.

If the ressie is in your name, all you'll need is photo ID.

Then apparently you are not interested in any of the discounts that require you to show your member card (and many of them do). What it sounds like is that there is only one name on the deed right now and to add someone to the deed would require refinancing. So, technically, the member should carry the card and the other person will have to (officially) fend for themselves until they can be added to the deed. If the person is not officially a member, they should not be carrying a member card, IMHO. However, you could leave it (in an envelope) for the other person at the desk of the resort into which they will be checking, or she could leave it at the concierge at BC to hold for you (I would think).

If you are not staying on points, you are not eligible for pool hopping and some of the other DVC benefits.

Yep Mom's name is on the deed because when she signed up she had just lost my dad and we drilled it into her head that her accounts were now only in here name so therefore when she (we) bought over the phone & she did the paperwork at her house which is 4 1/2 hours away from me and not exactly around the corner so once Fed Ex took the packet it was all over ! We covered it for the time being in her will.
I am the youngest so I am used to it!

We equally make payments to one account and have it made automat and once the loan is done we can have a deed drawn up with both our names on it. We always thought of it as "the grandkid's" anyway and mom always goes with us ask my husband! He hasn't had a vacation alone with me since our honeymoon 17 years ago

As far as pool hopping goes I think that would take more energy than I am ready to put out! I AM THE MOTHER OF 15 YEAR OLD TRIPLETS! I AM GOING TO SPEND 4 DAYS WITH MY HUSBAND ALONE !!!!
I am not renting points and I can use them at any Disney Vacation Club Perk place I want!

Actually, not exactly true. Mother and I are both on the deed, we purchased together, and were on the loan together. We reside at the same address. When purchasing her Annual Pass, I had my DVC member card out, as well as my Driver's License so they could see we have the same address. They still asked for her membership card...which she carries with her, but didn't want to go on a safari through her purse to find. Once she showed them her card, they issued her her discounted AP.

Understand that I am not trying to create a problem, and do not wish that this happens to you, but unless you and your DM have the same name, it is possible (though unlikely) that you will be denied the perks anyway. E.g., you won't be able to get the annual pass perk since your name will not be on the Member Card. Most other perks I doubt that they will check that closely. BTW, sincere condolences on the loss of your dad, even if it is belated.
