We have only stayed in the studios at BCV and the 1 br at OKW. What can we expect from a 1 br at BCV for our spring trip? Do they seem large? Is there room for a stroller? Is there a bathroom other than in the master?

It seemed large enough. There is only one bathroom in the BCV 1 bedroom. There was an area right by the front door where a stroller might could fit.

The bathroom is split. The toilet is in a separate space inside the room where the shower and a pedestal sink is located. Then in the adjacent space with a door between but open to the master bedroom is another sink with counter and a jacuzzi tub.

The tub is not as large as the one at OKW and the bathroom space is about half that of OKW. But it is split similar to OKW.

They are considerably smaller than the 1 BR units at OKW, and like OKW only have 1 bathroom. Yes there should be room for a stroller at the unit entry.
They are fine for 4 people, for 5 it will get tight unless 3 are children. It's handy to have an air mattress if two can't sleep together on the pull out sofa.
What Deb & Bill said about the bathroom.

Thanks friends,
You always come through. DSS has finally agreed to come to Disney, he is sure it is for little kids:rolleyes1 but will come along. I hope I can come up with fun things for a 15 yr old boy to do and keep thinking he will like the pool at SAB.

Our DS is SN and we have a huge SN stroller that can be a real pain but hopefully we can find a spot to place it at nite.

It will be our first time in a 1 br in BCV and I did it for the SAB which we love and hope the oldest likes it as much. Point wise and room wise, OKW makes better sense but I like the easy access to Epcot, DHS and again...the pool.

Will be ok with 2 adults, 1 teen and a child? Unfortunately, the child wakes up and comes to our bed so I though he could just share the king with Dad and I for the trip and the teenager can have his own space on the pull out. Will this work?

If you think you DH and your little one will sleep well in a king bed, then I think it will work for you. We did many trips with DH and adult DS and I in a one bedroom. Adult DS was on the sleeper sofa in the LR and found it comfortable. We did not have trouble sharing the bathroom
Good Luck

Hi - I think you are making a good decision for DSS. We are new to DVC and so far have only stayed @ OKW and BCV.

To be honest, my first thought when we checked into our 1 BR at BCV was how much smaller the space felt compared to OKW. But honestly that was about the only drawback. You will love being so close to Epcot and DHS. SAB is wonderful for the entire family (make sure you rent/buy noodles). It's nice being able to walk over to the BW at night and having soooo many dining options.

If I had my choice b/w the 2, I would opt for BCV in a heartbeat! :thumbsup2

Thanks Dizgirl,
Other than being in the room to sleep and a few meals we will be out playing at the pool or parks. I hope DSS like the pool and the easy access to EPCOT. Now to find some teenage boy things for him. I think golf might be in his future since he is a casual golfer.

I am going happy with the BCV 1br and will find a place for our huge stroller.

You should have no problem with the stroller in the foyar. We stayed last December at a 1br and our Graco stroller fit there with no problem
Here is a site with maps: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/
We were in #320 and had a nice view of Fireworks and were next to the elevator... very handy!

There is a table as you walk in and there should be plenty of space beside it for the SN stroller (we piled suitcases there)

BCV feels a lot smaller than OKW but we are there for the location and SAB

Have a great trip
