How many 1 Bedroom Concierge Suites are on the Dream? Is it only the 12 of them on Deck 12?

It looks like most of them are open on our sailing(only 2 booked). We are in a CAT 4A Veranda.

Does anyone know (ballpark) about how much an upgrade from 4A to these CAT T rooms it would cost at port?

We are booked in a Cat V suite (concierge suite) and our "upgrade" cost to a Cat T (1 bdrm concierge suite) is about $1800... so my best guess from our cruise rates, it would "average" cost you about $3100 to upgrade (depending on how many in cabin, length of cruise and such).

Hope this helps some....

There is a thread somewhere about what people have paid to upgrade at the port. We had category 4(not sure which letter), and I paid around $700 for a 4 night and about $600 for the 3 night to upgrade at the port. We did a B2B and upgraded both times. We had a 1 bedroom on deck 11.

Last August we upgraded from at VGT (I believe we were assigned a 5C) to a one bedroom suite for $900 on a 4 night Dream cruise. I requested room 12000, which is a forward facing cabin on deck 12. It's sandwiched between the two royal suites and in my opinion it's one of the best cabins on the ship. Because of the curvature of the deck at the front, you get a truly massive verandah. It's probably 25 feet deep. They give you deck chairs and chaise lounges. The kids have room to play and run.

If you can get that room at that price take it and don't look back. It's amazing.

On our 7 day Eastern on the Fantasy last July, we had booked a 4A and had these port upgrade options: From 4A to Royal was $2975. A 1 BR would have ~$1200. A cat V would have been ~$600. We took the Royal. Best decision we ever made.

Wow, if I can get an upgrade for around 6-700 bucks I'm going to jump all over it. We are on a 4 night Dream cruise

I would think 600-700 would be about right. The concierge lounge is worth that by itself. I'd just suggest getting to port early if you can.

Our cruises were in October before they changed the airport checkin. We checked in at the airport and were on the first bus to the port. I wasn't sure I wanted to even try because we had the same room for the B2B. Concierge kept checking for us to see if any opened up for the 2nd cruise. When we rechecked in for the 2nd cruise my son begged me to go see if they had any concierge open, there had been a cancellation so we got the only concierge left which happened to be the same cabin we had for first cruise.

I had to look but I originally had a 4C, paid $780 for the 4 night, $585 for the 3 night.

Piggybacking here if anyone knows the answer to this:

IF you have 2 connecting cabins booked for 5 people total, is it possible to upgrade to a suite that will accommodate everyone at the port?

We are getting connecting 8B rooms. Is it possible to upgrade to the 1BR suite if it's available? How would that work with two cabins?

You can upgrade one room only. Everyone could stay in the 1BR, but you'd have to keep the second 8B room. Could be used for storage/shower area.

Hi there,
Just a quick question, we also are doing b2 b on the dream cat t, what is the procedure for changing over from one cruise to the next. We also are in the same cabin both cruises.
Any help / info would be appreciated.
TIA

I was recently told you could not have guests booked in 2 rooms, so not everyone could use the lounge, etc, if still booked in the 8b

You get off the ship and almost get right back on. You get to leave all your belongs in your cabin.

sounds too simple.....no lugging of bags...priceless!

We did B2B on the fantasy they give you instructions but we had the same room, and kept our clothes in it, we reminded our stateroom host on castaway cay day he did the turnaround deep clean on castaway dsy and so our room was available at 10.15 on the Saturday between cruises.
