For some reason I can't get the search feature to work lately. I remember a post where it listed where all the 1 bedrooms were at Hilton Head (I know there are not many, and most were in the main building). Does anyone have a link to this info or know by chance?

We will be at HHI July 23 - 28. Myself, DH, DD 11 and DD 8. We do not own DVC (made normal reservations through Disney, stayed there three years ago as well and loved it). My DH is one that does not get "it" at all, although I keep giving hints about what a great idea it would be to look into buying DVC. Maybe meeting some happy DVC owners would convince him!

Don't know if this will help much. We stayed in 1612, a one bdrm in Oct 05.
There was a lock off studio next door.

We loved it and are headed back in Sept. 06. :dance3:

Hi!!! We'll be there at the same time, although we are staying in a 2BR. Me, DD17 and her friend, and DD12. Hope to see you on the beach!!!

At HH, all 1-br's are part of a 2-br lock-off unit. Assuming I have my numbers correct, there are 21 2-br lock-outs:
10 in the main building (building #11, Live Oak Lodge)
6 in the adjacent/attached building (building #12 I think)
5 scattered throughout the resort (all of these are beneath a Grand Villa)

Thanks for the quick replies!

Being beneath a grand villa would not bother us, but with only five of them, I don't know what the chances are of getting one. The last time we were there, we were booked for a one bedroom, but got upgraded to a two bedroom (it was just two of us at the time, I actually felt guilty and called the desk after we got to the room telling them it was really too big, that we would not be using the other room at all and that someone else could probably make better use of the upgrade, but they told me something about not having other rooms available and just to stay there). Oh well, doubt that will happen this time when we could probably use it!

Anyway, we were in building 20 or 21 I think, and I loved the proximity to the main pool and activities and was wondering what our chances were this year of being close to it again.

Can't wait to get there! I have been on these boards every day (I haven't actually logged in though for about a year until today). Went to Target to buy our battery operated lantern, bought kites, and then glowsticks to tie to the kites, I have our list of restaurants to try, list of activities we want to do, did I forget anything??? Thanks to everyone for all the great tips!

Ask for 1812....Best of the 1 BR's.

Great marsh view and 1/2 way between the main lodge and the pool. We had the studio 1814 last year.

1812 sounds (and looks on the map) perfect! Here's to hoping its available! If not, I'm sure we will be happy wherever we are.

Thanks for the info!

Crazy - the view from 1612 was the area between the bldgs. No water, marsh, etc. But I'm not one who gets unhappy because I don't have a "view". As long as I'm on vacation and not at work I'm happy. I enjoyed sitting on the porch with a beverage and a book and the rocking chair. :cool1:

The resort is not so big that you are very far from anything - pool, front, etc.

Enjoy. We loved it and are headed back mid-Sept. and can hardly wait !!
