1 and 2 crowd levels?......

Havent a clue but last night mk was packed! People lining streets at 6 for 8pm parade, queueing out every cs place for food! Was busiest ever seen it

It's supposed to mean that the parks aren't very crowded, but it doesn't always work like that!

sorry if i'm being a bit thick :confused3 but what does this mean?

Depending on where you are seeing the information, it is usually a rating for how crowded the parks will be, out of 10 -- with 10 meaning the most crowded.

On our first trip, all of our park days were 1s or 2s. We walked onto nearly all attractions with no wait. For the most popular attractions we waited one ride cycle.

As clarkfamily says it depends where you have seen it. Disney themselves have some kind of rating system but its a few years since I was told about it, never see it talked about. It is something like 1st level open to everyone, next level they stop offsite guests, next they stop AP holders, next DVC members etc.....

As above. We were there last month/early this month and the levels were 1 and 2 - it basically means walk on. It does not pertain to crowd levels specifically if you are using Touringplans.com, but rather to wait times at midday.

1 and 2 crowd level? You will have no problem doing things over and over with little or no wait. Don't be fooled by the apparent number of people in the park, especially when you are waiting at the entrance before it opens. The people disperse very quickly and leave you virtually with the park to yourself.

In short, it is a wonderful thing. Trust me - been there at level 10 for a few trips and you will love level 2. :thumbsup2

ahh thank you everyone :)

i see it on the strategy board on here......we are going on the 2nd november and hoping for low crowds and good weather :cloud9:

You should certainly see very low crowds then and November is generally very dry. You will want some sleeves for the evenings and early mornings and put in a few sets of warm clothing just in case. People frequently report swimming there in November. Won't find me in a pool with the outside temp below 30C but if you're not a softie like me :rotfl: make sure you take your bathing suits too. :goodvibes

You and me both :) In fact I have a bit of an addiction to heat. I would far rather be roasting in the sun in 35C than be slightly cool in the water with sun and breeze. Swimming to me is a quick plunge and 5 minute swim to cool off and then back to the lounger - to my DD's disgust :lmao:

haha i'm exactly the same....would rather bake in the sun and top up me tan than swim in the cold :rotfl:

It's called phased closing and it looks like this :

Phase 2

Admission is limited to:

•Disney Resort Guests (including the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and guests arriving by bus from the Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotels)
•Annual and Premium Annual Passholders
•Guests with Hopper tickets coming from another park
•Guests re-entering the park
•Guests with dining reservations
•Magic Kingdom Guests with reservations for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or The Pirates League
•Guests using Walt Disney World Resort Transportation will be admitted.

Phase 3

Admission is limited to:

•Disney Resort Guests (including the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and guests arriving by bus from the Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotels)
•Annual and Premium Annual Passholders
•Guests with dining reservations
•Magic Kingdom Guests with reservations for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or The Pirates League

Phase 4

Closed to all guests.

Regarding the above information, if you are ever faced with a Phase 2 closure as an AP holder or an onsite guest and are aware of this (you probably will be advised in some way), you need to be slightly insane or very desperate to use your rights to access a park at capacity. Anyone who has been inside MK or any park when it has been at full capacity will back me up on this :rotfl:

During the Halloween parties this is normal because (1) there are a limited number of days per week when the park is open later than 7 pm, which means no fireworks or parades for non party guests and (2) Anyone without park hoppers is going to try make a worthwhile day of it and will probably not pick MK as their park of the day on a party night, especially if it is they are only able to do MK once on their trip.

I must be honest, and DD and I have agreed, in many ways it was easier to get a spot for the parades and fireworks during peak season when there were 2 parades per night, which did help divide the crowds slightly.
