I tried calling the 1-800 phone number that I had and a recording came on and said it was invalid and to call the 407 number. Does anyone know if there is a new 1-800 number to call?

Did you try the 1-800-828-0228? That is the number I call all the time.

And the other one will likely be inactivated if Disney finds too many calls coming in. AFAIK, those numbers are for Travel Agents, not for the general public :(

If i'm dropping $2 large or more on a WDW vacation, i deserve a free call to CRO to set it up. This number is the new one you have to use 1-877-939-3732....for now.

Paying for the call myself is all the bull you have to go through before you get to where you what to be!

Gosh, you are often placed on hold. Then you are ask to participate in surveys. listening to a couple of songs and then in my case wait for CR to go to special reservations to make changes and then come back and then heaven help all your needs are not taken care of!

We pay the the vacation and travel agents take the cut:confused3 ?

I have always used the the 407 # because I have unlimited long distance on my cell phone but for the people that do not have this I think they need to offer a 800 # or make the calling process much less time consuming.

I understand that they have the crazy people who call multiple times a week that make the 800 # costly but you need to provide good customer service if you expect people to drop $1500-$10000.

I called and asked the CM (nice man) why they took away the toll free 1-800-828-0228 number and he said they didn't after 10 mins. on hold he came back and said I'll Be! They pulled the number. He said they always find out last. I have AP's in hand and was told the toll free number was our perk years ago? So much for our perks. however I called the 1-877-939-3732 and it is working so maybe they just changed their toll-free number?
Chatty:confused3

The thing is that with all the people WANTING to come do Disney, they do not have a need to incur the cost of providing a toll-free number. Very few people will make a decision not to vacation at WDW because there isn't a toll-free number available for them to make their plans.
