Thanks and I will help with the FE in anyway I can. So will there be pirate night since we are going to St Croix instead of St Maarten also will we have immigration I was thinking yes to both? Also are there any singles going with us? Many more questions to come but we have plenty of time

I am not sure about Immigration. Since St Croix and St Thomas are both USVI, maybe we won't have to get up for early Immigration on Wednesday morning.
I think there will still be Pirate Night. It is very popular.

I can't say for sure about immigration in the middle of the cruise but I wouldn't think so. We'll be the test case anyway.

We'll most definitely go through the process when we return home because we are coming back from the Bahamas.

The "collecting" of pirates is an old DISBoard game where when a person posts on a 100, 1,000 or 10,000 number. When the threads were allowed to be endless some threads chose the 1,000 or 10,000 posts to be called a pirate. Now that the threads have a limit the 100's are "important" again.

When obtaining a pirate the poster would use the icon.

It was a fun way to engage the people on the thread, add a little excitment (like we really need to be helped in getting excited! ) and get to know one another better.

Many of us worked hard to get the pirates so when one gets a pirate without paying attention to the number count it is marked as unintentional. It just makes it more humorus.

Thanks Brack and plutojudy for the warm welcome as far as my name goes I was a dispatcher for a towing compny for about four hears and my name is Michele and one of my drivers started calling me shelvis and it stuck that was about 8 years ago. I am starting to get excited. I read the forum for tips boy was that helpful this will be my parents 4th DCL and I told them stuff they didnt know. You guys sound like a great bunch and I am looking foward to meeting all of you, I have a question how do i get the countdown in my sig line?

Nope, had an offer ---REALLY low, we countered with what we could live with, they made another offer still too low. We declined. We will work and wait.

Has anybody else read the thread on the main board about no shipping boxes, and no brining on your own liquids (this means alcohol)??? The buzz is that anything found will be confescated. I know there is a lot of time before our cruise and things could change, but we were really hoping to keep some of our costs down this way...DH and I make wine, so I was planning to bring several bottles of that.

As of yesterday we can still ship our pirate gear and/or diapers ahead and bring our wine on board in our carry on. I did call DCL when it was posted by several people that we would only be allowed one carry on. I asked if DH would need to leave his camera or his cpap machine at home. To breathe or not to breathe? The CM I spoke with talked with a supervisor and said they are NOT limiting the carry ons to one. So, he can enjoy his two passions, photography and sleep.

That would be a very difficult choice for me (and Dennis too). I might be tempted to do without the sleep.

hey guys... here is what we do.... and my DH is a CPAPer tooo... we use his bag to put our meds in so that it is all in one place.... I carry on a bag with camera and misc stuff until we can get in our room.... but that is usually it.

What we do with our alcohol is wrap it in shoe boxes and wrap it with a to and from note! It has never been opened even when it starts on the airline and ends up in our room a day later!

I do cushion it around other stuff... but I make sure the weight restriction is met on flight bags.. otherwise... afterward you have more room for souveneirs!

Hope that helps some of you that enjoy partaking of liquor... we buy PLENTY on board... but I love Irish Cream in my coffee in the mornings.. until it becomes time to have something more and a 7 day cruise is about 1 bottle for me on vacation

So keep the wrapping paper out after Christmas and wrap yourself a treat or two... also homemade goodies that are not "disney approved" work well this way too.. but you can't take open bottles off the ship (I did get away with it last time though... but it got on other stuff when I tried the "rewrap" technique) and absolutely no food products... I had an apple from breakfast to eat while waiting for the shuttle and was told it had to be pitched by the nice folks in the basement.

I agree with all that has been said and think the embroidered shirts would last... so does that mean that polo shirts of decent quality are wholesale available for $3.00 or so???? Then we pay the girl to do the same embroidery on the pocket or the if no pocket the left upper part of the shirt.... I agree a disney character or Mickey head... or any icon everyone likes... maybe we should post 3 or 4 and let everyone choose?

I had mentioned a mustard yellow Mickey head as the background and the lettering in red and blue over that.... but I am open to whatever works for the group!

I can coordinate getting bucks from everyone since I volunteered to do the shirts or if the one who is ordering wants to do that it is fine... I just think that if I could paypal or send a check for all the shirts they could be ordered in size and all in an organized fashion and I have done this part before at work ordering shirts/jackets... but not this inexpensive.... so I am happy if we can get some nice quality polo shirts emboidered for under/at $10.00 each would be totally awesome and it would be our shirts forever as a memory and I like that and still have the disney look!

Awaiting feedback from all of those disboarders that are coming and want to participate!!!

If I were making a shirt just for me like this I would add some sort of Mickey icon ..... any of the ones from the link krhardy posted would be good to me.
