Can't believe the cruise is one month away!

We're on deck six, traveling without kids, and will be staying at OKW the night before.

We're planning a low key, relaxing get away. I've been reading some of the amazing trip reports posted on the disboard. Sorry to say, that we're decidedly not as interesting or exciting as the average DCL cruiser!

(Oh, and I don't think I can get Database1 into a matching disney outfit with me, Database2)

The count down begins....

I have two more families to add, from New Jersey! I'll be travelling with my parents, who are driving down from Orlando (DH has to work) and 4 kids (DD 12 and her friend who is 13), DS is 8 and DD is 3. We have friends joining us, with 3 kids--DS 10, DS 8, and DD3. Just figured out this DH, DS, DD thing so hope I make sense!

I had booked the dolphin encounter and then cancelled--have a feeling my youngest would be scared, plus would rather go when the water is warmer...

Hope the weather is good...

Welcome aboard Rebecca!!!

What deck are all of you staying on? What room category? There is an unofficial list being made up for all of us.

3 weeks untill we arrive at WDW. Has taken forever since we booked last May, but the time is now really flying by. Hardly have time left to get packed and ready.:cheer2:

Happy New Year. It won't be long now, just look at that countdown ticker go. Who's up for a DIS meet? Where is everyone staying before the cruise?

Mickey Minder,
We'd love to have a Dis meet. Still haven't decided where to stay. We are arriving the day before. We want to stay in Cape Canaveral, but are not having any luck booking at the Marriott (my husband is a Marriott Exec employee) near Cocoa Beach. Any suggestions that are reasonably priced and close to the ships would be appreciated! Where is your family staying?

Melanie,
I have a son that is 10 turning 11 in April. We are originally from Salem,NH and just moved to Maryland in July 2006. My son said he would be interested in e-mailing and meeting your son.

Now I'm getting excited; we just got our documents today!

I'll private msg you with my sons email address (have to set one up) - can do it tomorrow. I think that will be really fun for them! And that is so ironic you were from NH, too! Bet you don't miss the snow and cold!

You guys got mail today? We didn't. I thought it was a Federal Holiday due to President Ford's death.

I also thought there was no mail today.

18 days to go! Woo hoo!!

There was no mail, but we got a FedEx/UPS package straight from the Mouse!!!!!:goodvibes

Hi All,:wizard:

I came across this idea on this board and thought maybe we could figure out something similar so we can have a cruise meet too! Any ideas feel free to post them and we' ll see if it's a go.

1) Someone can make buttons for the group with their DIS names and regular names. Really helps identify others for the rest of the cruise as well.

2) We meet up on deck 10 mid-ship at 3pm on sailing day. By then just about everyone is onboard and has done lunch etc. Everyone gets to meet when it is fairly quiet, you have about 1/2 hour or so before you need to leave to get ready for the drill. After the drill those who want to meet back up in the same place for the sailaway party.

Does anyone know how many people sit at a table? We are a family of 5 and just wondering if we will have Disney Friends at our table or not.
Also if you have 1st seating for dinner can you switch to 2nd seating for breakfast? I noticed the breakfast is quite early.
Thanks!

I believe you can eat Breakfast wherever and whenever you like.

You can go to Triton's or Parrot Cay or any other restaurant that serves breakfast.

cbsprings - that sounds like a great time to meet. When you get on board, you can request a different seating for dinner. Are you referring to breakfast on debarkation day? Yeah, it is early, but they want to get everyone off the ship as quickly as possible. I think everyone has to be out of their rooms by nine. During the cruise, breakfast is open and unassigned. On both of our previous cruises, we had a table to ourselves, just the three of us. This time, we are kind of hoping we will have tablemates. We are usually on the side of Parrot Cay that has the windows. If you want a table to yourself, just ask. With five in your party, you probably will get one alone anyway. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Mareda
