acn someone explain the category thing to me?

The best way that I can explain it is that the lower the category number, the more that you (supposedly) get as far as quality/size, etc.. If you notice, generally the lower the cat. #, the higher the deck where the stateroom is located. (i.e. Suites are in Cats. 1,2,3.) But, it also has to do with location on the ship. However, it is all relative, because not everyone prefers being on a higher deck - or in the rear (aft) or front (forward), etc.

The SPH Staterooms (i.e. 5020, 5622, etc.) are technically Cat. #7 & the stateroom is basically the same, but the view from the window is blocked, so they are billed as Cat. #10.

My DD is driving me nuts about who will be on the ship around her age(she will be turning 10 that week). I told her I saw a 9 yo girl & 2 11yo boys thus far- she is so excited!
She has self selected the smilies to show that she can't wait!

Did everyone enjoy their holiday dinner yesterday? ANd who braved the crowds to go shopping today? I scored at Target at 7am this morning - got a few things for the kids - my daughter is easy to buy for, my 11 y/o son, not so easy - what do you get a pre teen?!
I love this time of year - the holidays, parties, eating
And then we have our cruise to top it all off!

I survived Thanksgiving & BF!!!
I hit KB toys,target & Kohls- I also did Old Navy later & Children's place!
It was a good day- I cleaned up for the girls- I would venture to say I am almost done with them!!!
They are getting spoiled!
But then again so am I with this trip coming up!!!
I would guess 11 year old boys would probably be into video games, ipods & stuf like that?
Mt 9 YO asked for an ipod- she is getting the shuffle.

Stuffed, we're just stuffed. DH went out for one special sale item. He got there at 5:10 a.m. and was 32nd in line for something they only had 15 of. We were able to order it online for the same price, but guess what showed up in this morning's circular - yep, the same thing at the same price. Oh well. At least we got it. Wow, just look at that count down timer. It's time to finalize all the travel arrangements and start packing the small stuff.

Yes Mickey Minder - Where is everyone??- It's time to get the party started - it's only a month and 2 wks away!
I, for one, am SOOO busy with the holiday season, kids, life, work, friends, family, shopping, xmas card writing - geez - it's a wonder my head doesn't explode! I only wish the cruise were the week after Christmas instead! I think that's when I will finally really NEED a vacation!

How's everyone's holiday shopping coming along?

Just so busy with "life". I fedel like I can't even think about my vacation until after we get through the holidays!...dec. 26 will probably mark the start of the official countdown for me! I was thinking of really starting to "organize" and think about packing on new year's weekend! My DD's birthday is 1/15- so I will have to pull off some birthday festivities for her- life doesn't slow down till I get on that plane to Orlando on January 18!

Hello Everyone,
Our family is sailing on the Wonder on the 21st of Jan 2007. We are a family of 5 with a 20DD,13DS and a 10DS. This is our first Disney Cruise. We are DVC Owners and decided to try this cruise thing instead! We are in a a Cat.4 Deluxe Family Verandah on Deck 8. We haven't book any excursions or special things. My husband and I have been on a cruise before without the children to the Bahamas. Is there something special that we should not miss out on?
Also we are US citizens flying in from Maryland, do we need passports? Disney said not till next year (2008). I noticed some other sailers from NH. We just moved to Maryland from Southern NH in July 2006. We also lived in Colorado Springs for 5 years prior to NH.
