Luci's Momma....I am going to ask the slenda question on the Disney Cruise Forum on this board..... I hadn't thought about bringing my own splenda but I need it too!!!

They almost wanted to send me home from work today.....I told them I was practicing being on vacation!!! Unless you love Disney, you just don't get it!! I explained I got my documents today (wohoo!!!) and had a reality check, that next week this time, I will be sailing with THE "MOUSE", family and friends, and that it is impossible for them to expect me to be rational!! Who here understands!!!??? I work at a restaurant, so all my customers and co-workers tease me about Disney, so they were all having fun, and giving me a sail away party today. It was great.....Can you all believe it.....Less Than a week!!!! Yeah!!!! Bought my bubbles, made my door sign, packed me the kids and hubbie....just need Friday to get here. Can't wait to meet everyone!

i can't believe it!! 5 more days!!!

I am pretty much packed. just need my hubby to make up his mind on what Dress pants he wants to take. He said Just a pair of Kakis and that way he can dress them up or just semi cas with them!

so i guess So!


Shipping off a box on monday by FedEX with diapers and wipes and beach toys to Clear out some space in suitcase!!!

Okay, I'm so excited I can hardly wait. I am behind on packing and ironing, but I think I got everything sorted, I will get it all together as usual. Only three more work days to go, my co-workers are ready to get rid of me also. Everytime we go on vacation I put a big sign on my door announcing that I'm gone, one co-worker asked "so, how long have you had your sign printed and ready to hang up?" I replied, "since August when we booked the cruise", she just laughed and shook her head.....

Great job on the Splenda question, I would have forgotten that one.

So here's another question....? How many of us cruisers will be so called-cruising single on Sunday next week while our other half's are watching the Divisional Football games? My DH said he "might" make it to dinner, lucky we have a late seating, huh? It doesn't bother me because I am looking forward to relaxing, which could mean just reading a book in a chair on deck as far as I'm concerned. And I don't have a problem going to the wine tasting by myself either.

I am cruising with bywheel and beachwench plus a few other fabulous women and I'm know that those Disers will be watching the game.

Okay so last night I unpacked and tried everything on to make sure it fit, .....I had just put clothes I thought I might need in the suitcase as I thought of it....then made sure I had enough tops to mix and match, found a second bathing suit and made sure I had everything I might need for contingencies. Bywheel laughs at my OC tendencies although she will admit that if you need it I might actually have it....
Today I am ironing and packing it again.

I found a 24 pack of bubbles (tiny ones) and packed those so if you forget you bubbles for sail away, just look for the group of seven insane women, all smiling and introduce yourself. I'd be happy to share.

I can't wait!!!!

I've checked and it looks like Orlando and St Thomas will be in the 80's ...with some clouds but its still early so I'll check just before we head to Orlando on Thursday morning!

Since it's Sunday, then its official... We are going to Disney this week!!!!

If I get my butt in gear, I was thinking of making lime green (DIS color) mickey heads to pass out at our meet on Sunday...I will hole punch them so maybe people can attach it to their lanyards! What do you think?

What interactions do the kids have with the characters? I am used to the character meals at WDW and the stand-in-line autograph sessions. I can just picture our 2 yo screaming everytime a character shows up (terrified of Santa). I've searched DIS boards and can't find specifics. Thanks.

Also, what is there to do on board for free for adults? I've seen lots of things that have fees; Everyone here is SO excited that I know there must be things that don't cost extra.

We'll be driving down to Ocala on Friday and see you all on Saturday! Woo-Hoo!

There will be one character breakfast where they have Chip & Dale, Minnie, Mickey, and some others. They aren't walking around unless they are going to their "location."
There are a lot of activities for adults that don't cost money - games by the poolside, trivia stuff, shows, adult only music. The navigators will have it all and maybe others can name some more!

We probably can't make it on Sunday given family schedules but we'd love to say hi so if anyone would like to come by and take a tour of the Roy Suite, feel free to stop by after St. Thomas. We can order some of those "all hands on deck" cheese platters and such. I have no idea where we will be the rest of the cruise but 5pm-6pm on Wed seems like a safe time to plan since we will need to be gettting our boys ready for dinner after the sail away. It might be a mess in the cabin (4 boys with 4 cousins next door all under 11). But if you don't mind a little chaos come on by! Hope it works for some of you!

What ages are your boys? I have a 14 yoDS and a 10 yoDS (and a 2 yoDD). First time for us to cruise. I don't plan on doing any laundry, but will bring our unscented laundry soap just in case.

I am hoping nobody spills at dinner because the boys will be wearing the same shirts each night--except for formal night, I'm making them wear a button-down collar shirt and tie, and a couple of nights I know they want to spend with the kids' programs. Oh--and pirate night, of course. irate:
