1/2 price gift certificates for Universal Orlando and others

OK maybe I am missing something but these seem a great deal. For $25 (and $3.50 shipping) you get $50 worth of gift certifcates for Universal Orlando and a few others- you can only use $25 at a time for most of them. They are for the Hard Rock Cafe, The Kitchen, Latin Quarter etc.

I have never heard of them at all but they seem a great deal.

It seems a good deal but I can't find anything about expiration dates. I think I'll check the Univ boards and see if anyone there mentions them or knows them.

I was looking the site over, I didn't see anything about only using $25 at a time. In fact I don't think they are too clear about the terms. I could use a few lunchs here. I will be spending a few days here. There is 4 of us and we would probably use up $50 on problem.

...and an update.

I ordered the Hard Rock Café GCs from this site on Sunday after seeing posts by Orlando residents on the Universal boards. The site is sponsored by several Orlando radio stations in an effort to draw locals to the CityWalks restaurants.

The GCs arrived today. There are 2 $25 Hard Rock GCs which expire on 7/31/2004. They are not good for merchandise or gratuities. It states nothing about alcohol being excluded.

They cost me a total of $28.50 with shipping.

The only catch is that only one can be used per visit. But I guess that DH and I can split up for dinner and each take a child. I know that we can spend $50 as a family quite easily.

These are starting to sound great. We aren't going until July, but DD & I could manage two meals there. We will be at RP for 3 nights. She is going to need to do the adult menu anyway this time.

I wouldn't mind Pat O'Brien's either, but I need to wait for a later expiration.
