HI! We just got back and took our DS (age3) to AK. What a nightmare!!!!! Even with the ride waits of 10 minutes or less, the park was jam packed. The poor design of the walkways is probably to blame. On a weekday we left at 1:30 , completely exhausted and even had to tone down our evening plans! If I were to do it anytime again soon , this is what I would do (with a little one): get there EARLY!!!! We were there about 45 minutes before the park opened and were able to get right on the Safari-go in and bear right . Just follow the herd!!! When we got off the wait was already 30 minutes!!! Then I would take your little one to the conservation station to pet the animals, and then to the Boneyard to play before it gets too crowded. That's About it!!! I would also get an early lunch (at 11:00). We did this at Pizzafari and it worked great. Then I would leave!!!! Take a break at your hotel, then go over to Epcot for dinner and TOD! Camp Minnie mickey is Okay, but the Lion King show (it is spectacular) is way too long for a young child!! the character trails are okay, but if you have any character meals planned , you really aren't missing anything. The AK is a beautiful park, but it was just too much for a little one! For comparison, our DS did great at all the other parks and really loved Epcot!!! The Garden Grill was the best meal of our trip!!!!
