Cozumel,Day 5:
Slept a little later since we were getting off the ship a little later this AM. Had breakfast at Lumiere's-again- and it was great. Can't remember our servers names but they were excellent.
We were off the boat at 10:10 AM,could see they were ready from our balcony, before they announced it. Took a cab to Paradise beach upon Sally's recommendation. Cab for 5 of us was I think $15. Paradise beach was the greatest! It was not crowded, maybe half full all day. The grounds are lovely, nice lawns and palms as you drive up. The beach, restaurant and facilities are immaculate and the staff very pleasant. Got settled in with chairs, umbrellas and soft drinks. Beach chairs are nicely spread out. The water was a comfortable temp and we so enjoyed it. Took DD6 out to the trampoline on a mat, then later on a kayak. Lunch was fantastic. Two people could split an order if you're not big eaters. Kids menu was limited but at least they had one. Prices were very reasonable .
We drank soft drinks or beers all day,had lunch for 5 of us for a grand total of $85. After lunch the girls got tatoos that last 2-3 weeks. They picked Mickey Mouse,of course.
Swam some more, then sadly had to leave about 3:30. The girls needed a little rest. When they went back to the ship we walked around the town a little.
Dinner was the Mexicali menu in Parrot Cay. Mariachi band played during dinner. I had lobster fritters, salad and the grilled shrimp. It was all quite spicy. White chocolate chhesecake was delicious.
Saw Minnie in the Atrium after dinner dressed like Carmen Miranda, great outfit. Went back into town and walked around a
little more,enjoyed the warm air.
The girls really liked the Goofy pajama party. They got to color Goofy pillowcases to take home.
After they were tucked in with my MIL,went to check out the Mexical deck party. Watched it from Deck 10,not too crowded.
It was great fun. The char acters came out in there Mexican outfits and sang and danced for about 15 minutes then the ntertainment crew took over. At this point I was tired from the sand and salt air so headed to bed. I understand I missed Jim Belushi keeping the deck party going.
