Our group consisted of me,DH,DD 4 & 6 and MIL. I will tell you I am a lousy typist in advance.

Our flight landed 10:05 AM on Sat,used DCL transfer bus and arrived at port at 11:20. Line to board opened up shortly before 12 and we were on board at 12:20. Went to Palo reservations and was able to get one brunch and one dinner. High tea was already fully booked. Interestingly,if you already have a dinner res and request another one, they put you on a second waiting list. The first waiting list is for those with no Palo res at all, which I think is very fair.

Next to Dining changes. Head waiter Alain was there. We requested a table for 5 but were told it was unlikely given the ship was so full, but DH requested politely he try and sure enough several hours later there was a message on our room phone.

We then had a good buffet lunch at Topsiders which was very crowded by this point. Then to our rooms, 6072 and 6074. DCL does a great job with management of space and it showed in our room. Had balconies for this trip, which we used alot for AM coffee and evening cocktails and relaxation. Starboard side has a better view in most of the Western ports.

Went to the pool for an hour and a half, then the muster drill. Next onto the sailaway party which was great fun with the characters. Some of the deck 10 area was blocked off for According to Jim filming.

We had early seating,APL. First night was a little disappointing. Our servers, who proclaimed themselves th Dream Team were stiff and hurried and could not get a drink order correct. MIL could not get a Manhattan to save her life. Also was surprised at the noise level in AP,which I should have expected given this is Disney and kids after all. Had the lobster and shrimp wrapper, delicious. Roast chicken that followed was OK. Cheesecake was good. Saw our head waiter Alain the first night, but not after that, which was a change from other cruiselines where he stops by nightly.

After dinner, had a drink in Sessions while the girls went to the Lilo & Stitch party at the kids club. Then we unpacked and went to bed early, having woke up at 4:30 AM that day.

Austin, our cabin steward was fantastic, probably my favorite CM from this trip.

Thanks for the tip about the second dinner at Palo's. I'm thinking we may do this; if we get it fine and if not at least we tried.

Do you know if they do this for brunch also? (I'd actually prefer a second brunch then dinner.)

:bounce: 6072 and 6074 are my families favorite rooms...we have them again on March 20th cruise....I loved the location and the quiet. In our previous cruise we had Carlos as our room steward. Thanks for the postings....keep em coming.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce:
