Hi everybody,
Laura - you do have some beautiful children. I hope Joe keeps those cute dimples as he gets older.
We are renting DVC points for our January trip and will be staying in a studio at Old Key West and checking out the resort. Some time in the future I will look more closely at DVC membership. I have several friends who are members and they hound me occasionally, encouraging me to join. Easy for them to say! Renting points is the next best thing, I guess.
I haven't taken the time yet to get a Photobucket account so I can download some pictures to my signature or in my posts, but will get around to it eventually. I've printed the pictures that Rebekkah and Shelley have posted and put them in my cruise notebook so hopefully I will recognize them when I see them onboard.
I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures of the Brickhouse and the Bricklayer.
We're doing a Halloween Treasure Hunt at work on Tuesday and I had to come up with 10 clues to hide in various places in our building, one clue leading to the next, and so on. The treasure is just little bags of Halloween treats and little rubber spiders and bugs, stuff like that. Should be fun. I'll wear my princess tiara with ribbon streamers and hand out the first clue. Wish I had a Disney costume to wear, but I do have Disney stuff all over my office, and two of the clues involve finding a Mickey Mouse calendar and a Mickey clock, so that'll have to do.
Speaking of costumes, we have our eye patches, hoop earring, and sashes to wear for the Pirate Dinner on the cruise. I have a long white blouse and a friend of mine will make me a black vest to wear with it. I don't see too many people dressed in pirate gear in the pictures I've seen lately of the Pirate Dinner, but it's fun to get in the swing of things and I'm sure the cast members appreciate it, too.
We're heading out to the Elberta Sausage Festival this afternoon, which is over in Elberta, Alabama. It's a fund raiser for the local fire department and is held twice a year, with live music, lots of crafts booths, and plenty of good food, including those grilled sausages. It's your typical small southern town festival and it's very popular, and the crowds get bigger every year. We are finally getting some cooler weather, in fact it's downright brisk outside with a breeze blowing, but the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Bev
