I like going to a DIS Meet on Day 1 so we recognize one another throughout the week. Otherwise, you may not have an opportunity to meet your fellow DISers throughout the cruise.

Just doing some very UNscientific research tonight -- more free time than I realized. I have gone through most of the posts for our cruise and there are approx. 26 families posting on our DIS thread. On my last cruise, 10-4-08 Magic, there were 50 families on our DIS thread. And, on that cruise, we were told that our cruise had 300 people short of a "full ship". So, my thinking is that our ship will have lots of empty staterooms.

Just an FYI. Just can't wait for January 2009 to arrive!

What website Are you talking about "asking" for a upgrade at the port? Tell me more.....tell me more hope to get an upgrade to a 4 from a 5. Thinking about asking at the port but need pointers....never done that.

I have made a website for those people involved in the fish extender exchange. I didn't want people putting cabin numbers on here and thought it should be kept private so that the whole world doesn't see it if they happen to google and come across it here!

As for upgrading at the port - you still have to pay for the upgrade, but it might be cheaper than upgrading now. Go do a search on the main board- there are some good threads there about it.

Oh man. I get it! We were just at WDW in September! (And also in January . . . ) When considering where to go in fall 2009 or winter 2010, I'm SO not wanting to get away from Disney! Dh is ready to spread our wings, however. (It was his idea to take a cruise and when I got my planning hands on our vacation, I booked a DISNEY cruise!! LOL) We'll see about our next vacation . . .

There is a disneyworld special on the travel channel right now.....all about Christmas...so beautiful...I was there last year for 2 weeks at this time and it is bringing back great memories!!!!
