1/10/09- EARLY Roll Call! Who's coming?

Donna - Thanks for getting me to this Board. We are signed up for early dinner.

Jennifer - We will be at the Marriott so guess we won't be seeing you before the trip.

It is getting harder and harder to keep this as a Christmas surprise for MJ:goodvibes

I would like to do the fish extenders too. How do we get them, what do they look like?

Rosemary

Hi Rosemary,

Got to the Disney Cruise Lne Forum and on the top right do a search for fish extenders and you wil get a bunch of info.
I am getting mine from ebay from seller gradysmommy....If you get just 2 pockets it is $20 plus $5 to ship.....you can pick the colors.....
Talk soon!

Hey everyone...
Just wondering if anyone else is leaving from a WDW resort on the morning of the 10th and wants to share a limo to the port?
I can't justify the cost for just 2 of us, and do have the bus booked, but my daughter's dream is to ride in a stretch limo, and if there is another family (or 2?) that wants to split the cost, it would be fun.
We are just 2 people - so we could do up to another 6 people for an 8 person stretch.
PM me if interested.

Well, we are still going on the cruise, but 2 of our group aren't. So it will be myself and 2 of my girls...DD18 and DD18 (b-day on cruise). Any other older teens?

We'll have our DD18 & DD20 with us.:goodvibes What fun, to be cruising with mickey on your b-day!:woohoo:

One or the other of my girls have celebrated their birthdays on the Magic for 8 years now. They are only 11 days apart, so whichever week we go, that's who gets the birthday cruise!

OK, can someone run thru this FE thing for me one more time? Is it still OK to sign up? Is there some kind of schedule as to when we hit each cabin or family? Do we plan for one thing for every person involved or more?

Thanks.

:dance3: Hello everyone again! Just a note to say "Hi!" and to see if everyone is still as excited as I am about this cruise! We booked Palo for dinner and booked our excursions recently.
A couple of weeks ago, we returned from Carnival Glory, and had to replace our stop in St. Martin with Grand Turk, due to Hurricane Omar. It turned out to be a beautiful beach day so we were happy. :cool1:
One of our excursions for this cruise is Snuba and I must admit that I am a little leery. Has anyone tried this before? I'm scared that I will want to pop to the surface before I am supposed to and you can bet your sweet patooties, if I see a shark I will be walking on water!
Have a great day!

Don't know who is in charge of the fish extender exchange, but sign up MJ and me. We will be in the Dark Hole of the ship - 2066.

Rosemary

I am the fish exchange person! I will add you to the list (post #56).
OMG I am so excited! I just did our registration! I am not booking anything - we are doing shore stuff on our own and I am probably not bothering with spa stuff - maybe on the ship if they offer specials.
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

Woohoo!!!! I just signed up on line! I only signed up for a submarine adventure in Cozumel (or was it Grand Cayman - I get them mixed up!). Plus, I got the kids signed up for their clubs.

What are all of you doing on shore? We'll be taking the trolley tour in Key West, the submarine thing, and then Channakab (sp?) Park on our own.

Okay - a CRAZY question - have any of you started packing? I have a bag that I'm adding things to as I think of them - things we'll use in the room - suction cup hooks, bungee cord, extention cord, fish extender, gifts, etc. I shopped end of summer sales for clothes for my kids for the cruise. I CANNOT wait!!! Luckily this time of year goes quickly because there's so much to do!

Have any of you cruised in January, and if so, is it too cool for watersports, snorkeling, etc? We usually go to the eastern caribbean this time of year.
I looked this up online and it shows low 70s. For my poor old body this means cold! BRR! :confused3

Thanks!

I don't know about ocean temps. But, we were in FL this past January and it was HOT the first week and 70s the second week. Didn't keep my kids from swimming, but it did me!

I figure it's so much further south than FL, for those of us from MI, it's going to feel warm enough to swim! Hope you can join us!

My wife and I sailed the end of Jan 2005 and everything was great. The ocean temps were wonderful!! :dance3:

I've cruised a lot in Jan. and never found it to be cold once you get below Florida. We better be warm- I booked a snorkle with the stingrays at Grand Cayman that leaves in the morning!!!

Lollipops Mom - Checked out post #56 for the fish extenders. rwm(that's me!) should be one adult one child. thanks for doing this.

Jennifer - just watched the Weather Channel and we're going to have snow showers tonight and tomorrow in mid-Michigan! Yikes!!!

I've always wanted to vacation in January and I'll be getting my wish in less than 75 days.

My DD in Kzoo is a home schooling mom, too! She works out of her home as a CPA.
