Is there really a difference in price to buy a MYW package or adding price of room + tickets + dinning? If so is there a time frame for release of package prices? TIA!

Not really a price differance but you cant get dining unless you get a MYW package. You also get added stuff like minigolf and planet hollywood vouchers as well as an arcade time card

Okay. I didn't think there was difference. I don't want the dining plan or the vouchers, just need a room and tickets and wondering what is the least expensive way to get them. Thanks mbanks21!

You can usually get a little bit of a better deal by purchasing your tickets and room separately but as the previous poster said, you can't get the dining plan without purchasing a package.

The packages for 2009 include luggage tags, one pass to play mini-golf, an arcade card, an upgrade when renting water craft, $15.00 Planet Hollywood certificate and a PhotoPass certificate.

We make use of the "extras" a package includes so the package works for us. We also purchase the dining plan because it works for us as well. I did the math very closely before purchasing the dining plan.

Do you save any money if you do a room only and purchase tickets seperately, but get both from Disney?

If you are a AAA member, you can get the AAA discount on the room by going through disney. The tickets purchased from disney will not be discounted.

Would I get a discount on tickets if I got them from AAA? If so how much? I know I paid full rack rate for everything our last (and first) trip. My kids would LOVE to go back again soon (and so would I!), but that isn't going to happen if I can't figure out how to cut some costs and save some money. Our budget is so tight it is squeaking, but I would love to see my children smile and get excited again like they do at Disney. Thanks for all the info!

Go to www.aaa.com :surfweb: , click on Travel, click on Tickets, scroll down to Walt Disney World. You can click on the ticket you want, and customize to see the prices.

Nice! I will do that. That will give me an idea of how much money we need. Thanks!

You can also get discounted tickets from some online ticket sellers. Undercovertourist is one. Sign up for the newsletter at mousesavers.com and they send a newsletter every month. In it will be a link to a slightly greater discount on the tickets. AAA has good prices, but these could save a buck or two more.

I just bought my tickets from undercover before the price increase. Very easy, fast service (received them in under 5 days), good price which includes tax & shipping.

Haven't tried yet (sorry!), but from everything I've read, they've been in business for a long time and no one has had any problems!

Okay. I'll just have to keep reading threads to see what info I can find on them. Thank you. :)

This is great advice. We used UCT this pat trip, great experience and we SAVED some GOOD money. Did our room AAA discount and we SAVED there too!
Good Luck

we've used UCT more than once and have never had a problem... i recommend them to friends staying off-site or not wanting a package...
