Ahhh. We have just reached our first milestone in melding the two cruise groups.

Cruisetoberfesters bring the beer to the Rad, and the 9/29-ers supply the Margaritas.

Can you imagine anything more perfect????

What a happy group we will make!!!!!

Hi Guys ... Maybe we should warn the Raddison we are coming!
Wouldn't it be nice if they put us all in the same section of the hotel.....as people arrive, they could just listen for the noise and know where we are LOL

Just wondering what you guys thing of a name for us .......

"DIS CRUISEARS"

No it's not a mis-spelling ... give it a thought, Mickey, Ears, etc!
I couldn't remember if the 9-29 bunch had a name but thought that we are now joined at the "ears" and should have a new name.

I've been tossing it around in my head and may give it a try on coming up with a LOGO this weekend when I am home and have more time (yea like there aren't chores calling me ...But I do have my priorities).

9/29-ers did not have a name except for the "9/29-ers". But somehow, I don't think that is going to fit into some other kind of name very smoothly!

How bout we figure out some kind of acronym for all of our screen names. Of course, GPAPKTKRTSLKDJALSH@FSDFJDHFSKJFH might not be a very cool name.

I like "Dis Cruisears".....

Cathy is the raddison parking area enclosed with a fence or is it a special area for cruise passengers?
Thinking about doing the parks for a day or two after the cruise. We will probably stay in Kissimmee after the cruise.

Mike, As I recall, the cruise parking is just off to the side of where you park when you stay overnight. It wasn't fenced in last year. They just asked that you do not park right near the rooms or right next to the front of the main entrance....so not to interfere with guest areas. We were OK last year and with luck we'll be this year.

I'm also tossing around going to the parks for few days after the cruise BUT we really love staying at Dixie Landings, alias Port Orleans Riverside. Last year they were having this super rate for PA residents. Maybe they will have some special offer again this year. Other places are having offers to promote getting people back to travelling ... maybe it will rub off on Disney!

I was saying to Art at dinner, Disney should check into our group to make a commercial on why people keep coming back to their
cruise line year after year. The enthusiasm we exhibit, etc. God knows we were something to watch last year at the sail-away party!

? I just got a flyer from Disney Club on the offers that they have for the Cruises ... why is that these offers usually have more strings attached than Pinnochio!

Is it me or are there problems with clip-art on this site again? I tried to change mine from the firemen back to Goofy, but now it won't work. also, I used to like those little bouncing guys ... i miss them!

Well have a good night .... I'm going to go off to try working on a Logo for us to vote on.

Decided to see what was on this page about the 9/28 Western Caribbean Cruise ~ Was not expecting to find such an extended discussion of hardcore DCL addicts.

Will be flying in from Alaska to meet my wife ~ Alabama. We were wondering about meeting-joining up with folks for the fun.

Well, I've FINALLY gotten around to joining this thread! LOL! Sorry it has taken me so long. This will be my 3rd Disney cruise, and I can't wait! It sounds like we'll have quite a group aboard. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. I'll be cruising with my DH (Chris) and our 2 boys, 5 & 7 years old.

Rellingtwin, we've also been checking out Captain Marvin's for our Grand Cayman excursion! I've heard good things about this company, and I've emailed them a couple of times and they've been very helpful. I'll probably book the half day excursion soon. Since we have a 5 year old, most of the DCL excursions are out. Captain Marvin's said my 5 year old should be fine on the excursion. I think both my boys will love it!

Third Disney Cruise for us ... DVC members since 1994 ... No young kids, just a coupla old farts who tend to spend more time apart than together ~~~ Looking forward to the party. If I reda the thread correctly, the Radisson whereabouts? is the place to stay? ... Alaska is a LONG way from Orlando

If you want to know anything .... one of us must have the answer for you!

By the way my husband and I fall into your category too....."old farts".....50 ish but going on 10 in Disney years!

Wendy...I was so excited to see you are going on the 1/2 day Capt. Marvins trip. We are too and we will have my 5y/o nephew with us! I have also heard many great things about this trip. I am going to make a reservation for the 1/2 trip this week. When I do I will identify myself as a DIS member, maybe we can fill a boat with DIS!

Power-Alaska, WELCOME to our group. I think you win the "who's traveling from furthest away" award! Looking forward to meeting you and your wife. This is our 3rd Disney cruise also.The Raddison is a hotel just a mile from the ship. Those of us who will be arriving the night before will meet for a "pre-cruise" get together on Friday! If you would like to e-mail me your info I will add your name to "The List" and e-mail you a copy.

@GoofyNut...we also love Dixie Landing, and have stayed there 4 or 5 times. I am not sure about clip art, but the site is having some problems. If you look at the announcment thread, WM Alex explains the problems and what he is doing to fix it.

Rellingtwin, I'll probably make my reservations this week also for the morning 1/2 day trip. I'll be sure to put a note on there that we're part of the DIS group. It would be great if we can all be together! I know my 5 year old would LOVE having a friend along! I plan to work with both the kids a bunch this summer to try to get them snorkeling before the cruise. Hopefully, they'll catch on quickly!

Version 1.1 of the DIS CRUISE LIST is now in the mail boxes of everyone who has forwarded me their info. I will update this weekly/prn as more information is sent to me. Thanks to all who have e-mailed me. It is going to be wonderful getting to know you all in these 203 days before the cruise.

Wendy: my sis Rellingtwin will be signing us up for the Stingray trip. My son Casey will turn 5 on 9/22. He LOVES boats, fish, etc. Maybe your son would like a buddy to hang with. Casey is very friendly!
Alaska: Take, it from me, this is THE Cruise to be on. My familys first ever cruise, but already feel right at home.

Mary ... got the first version of the cruise list ... Thanks. NOW FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT GOTTEN YOUR INFO TO RELLINGTWIN ... We don't bite. This is the best way to get to know your fellow DIS-CRUISEARS, believe me. Once you hit the ship and meet up, you already have the ice broken on who's who and what they are like, what they do for a living, etc. This made is so much better for us CRUISETOBERFESTERS.

Well gotta get back to cleaning and let DD AshLee in ... right now we are fighting cause she won't let me clip her nails and she looks like a sissors-hand dog!

From www.partyetc.com, in the luau section, they are green plastic leis. They got 100 qty. for $22. They are going to wear them at the Sail Away party to recognize each other.

Maybe we can get some of these for the 9/28 Dis Cruisears!

And Goofynut...I have to assume your "DD" is Dis Dog, rather than Dis Daughter!
