No, you only have to reserve time for Flounders (0-3). You are only allowed to reserve 10 total hours prior to embarkation. Once onboard, you can reserve additional hours if they are available.

:thumbsup2 The Oceaneer's Club and Lab are on a walk-up basis. Make sure to look at your Navigator (daily newletter) to make sure your kids are in the clubs for the activities they want to participate in. Our kids always love making Flubber and cookies. Also, make sure to bring a highlighter to mark up your Navigator. You can get a clean/new Navigator by Guest Services and at the kids clubs. You are only given one in your stateroom. I like to have extras for my scrapbook and they usually get bent or crushed from being used so much. ;)

Thanks first time using the club

Well, I learned about the 40 second rule tonight! It cost me a pirate - no, make that two pirates, but I learned!

Annettes terrible. She said i had to let her get the pirate. Well maybe next time one of us will get it again

It's very stressful to try to beat all of you to the pirates :) including my sister who is in the same room as me on her computer! Either I tend to type to slow or too fast. Darn that 40 second rule. But I won this one!

But seriously, when are they going to change the member cruise site. We are now less than 90 days out and haven't got a clue what is going on. WE NEED AN UPDATE!

I agree on the website and congrats on the pirates. Went to fix dinner and came back to see you had grabbed it.

Thank you for everything you do. I have all of the buttons you've made us

You are very welcome. Funny story about the first time we met. I was wearing my button to that very fancy Palo dinner. You know why? Because my dress kept slipping and showing my bra. So I used the button to pin my dress to the bra. :lmao:

I learn so much from you all. Any other Palos preference information?

Well not a preference but if you get Palo great, if you don't please don't stress. you will still have a WONDERful first cruise! :)

Who is excited for WALLE?

We are! ::yes::

Ah the old 40 second rule. A pirate grabbers worst enemy. :rotfl:

Do they give us the floats at Castaway Cay since it is the member cruise or do you have to pay for them?

Nope - you have to pay for them just like on regular cruises. You will get plenty of other gifts but this isn't one of them (well at least based on previous cruises).

Les got up at 4:30 a.m. to book Palo's and we got caught in one of the glitches. He booked a reservation, or so he thought, but it didn't appear in our reserved activities, so we called Disney Cruise Line, and tough luck. We were booted before the confirmation number was generated, and we didn't know it. The strange thing, the system wouldn't let him book another dinner reservation this morning :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

It was available, but the computer glitch didn't let us know it didn't process the reservation.

Frustrating as that is what happened to me last night as well. Had us all booked in for brunch at 11. Clicked the continue arrow and got an error message. Never saved the reservation. I was able to log back in and get 11:30 but it might just have easily been gone. Remember you can try and book as soon as you get on board.

I kept getting the message - done but with errors on the page - the page wouldn't show up. But this was after I had made Palo and my excursion.

I think I was done about 12:03 - 12:04 and the 1130 brunch was gone but 11am was there so that is what we grabbed.

Luckily this morning everything still showed up. It is kind of annoying when their site doesn't work like it should.

And with no updates. Did we have any information about 13 weeks out last year? I remember telling people what our theme was at the beginning of August last year (my family and such) and we were sailing at the end of Oct so based on that I would think it would be anyday now - at least we hope.

Just a note they raffle off float/bike packages sometimes at Bingo.

Also regarding DVC pins: You should also be able to get them via WDW mail order.

Yes, the website is horrible!

Please remember to print out all of your pre-reserved activities after they are booked - and after any change. You'll need this if your reservations mysteriously disappear - as has been known to happen!

Wendy

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

The website was launched last June and I'm not sure how long after that we knew the theme. However when the 2006 cruise was announced on the 2005 voyage we knew the theme for the next year before we got off the ship. I do agree they should at least know the theme by now. Come on DVC we don't need to know every little thing but we are close enough now we should get some info.

Just checked the 2007 thread and the theme was announced when they opened the website which was June 8th. On June 10th we were 19 weeks until the cruise. So we are later this year getting a theme. Here's hoping the theme is as worth waiting for as last years cruise!

For folks who didn't get what they wanted last night, keep in mind this:when DVC releases more information about the cruise, people will cancel ressies. That will open up spots for more people. Happy thoughts :)

When does DVC usually release the final information about the scheduled events for the cruise? Do we get an email or something in USPS? ;)

Just curious as to what things I should look for on the schedule that are a must do? I have heard that they give away lots of free stuff on the cruise, is this true? Our DVC Guide indicated that we should plan on taking an extra bag to bring home all of the stuff we will get.

Thanks all for helping this first time cruiser and first time DVC Member cruiser, you are all very helpful. :)
