Good morning all from very hot southern CA.

My solo trip to DL was fun, but I ended up wih a group of 8 in the afternoon. My friends two sisters and their DH's and her two boys met me inthe after noon. It was very hot and very crowded. Didn't get to do toy story. It was a two hour wait and no fast passes. Indiana Jones is a great ride. Did it twice. I didnn't find the people as friendly here and the park is just not as clean as WDW. It was still a lot of fun. California screaming was fun and I think space mountain here is faster than WDW.

Yesterday I went to Hollywood and did the movie stars homes in an open top bus in 110 degrees. But with out humidity it's still not as hot as Fla. I also ran into the daytime emmy's.......I was two feet away from Regis, Ellen, Susan Lucci etc.. It was a lot of fun. Barbara Walters paid no attention to the crowd she was pretty rude. Every one else turned and waved, even some came over to pose for pictures and sign autographs for some she just walked and did not acknowlege and one, she didin't even go down the red carpet, snuck in the side entrance. But it was fun seeing them all. Trafic here is crazy and gas is 4.71...

I am in charge of picking up food for the bridal party today so they have something to eat while getting ready and all the girly stuff. The wedding is at two so I will have a while after that to drive around.

Scott called his am. He is in Sidney for a few days before his new zeasland trip.He sounds good.

Have a great Saturday all.

AP rates recently came out for stays before and after the cruise. The rate for moderates is better than the bounceback I booked in April. So with some good rates out there we decided to go with the FW cabins for the 3 nights after the cruise.

You can get a studio at SSR or OKW for $169!! That is such a good price. The 25% DVC discount is $213. We were going to go that route but for $5 more we decided to go with the cabins so the kids could be in a different room and we would have the kitchen.

This morning Amanda and I did a 5k for the Ronald Mcdonald House. It was good practice for the EE race in Sept. But I am tired. We spent yesterday getting ready for Amanda's 40th bday party. Went to bed at 1230am and back up at 7am for the race.

Joan-glad to hear you are enjoying Lala land.

Mandy-those rates are fab.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Good morning Member Cruisers
We sail in 13 weeks!

Attn Castaway Club Members;

Tonight is our night to log in for reservations!

Midnight Eastern!
11 pm Central!
10 pm Mountain!
9 pm Pacific!

A few words of caution and one confession:

If you are logged in before midnight and then try to make your reservations you may get a message that you aren't paid in full or you have an incorrect birthday. If this happens log out and then log back in and you should be fine. If it still happens log out, clear your cookies and then log back in.

Now for the confession. This 3 day weekend has been wonderful but it got me all mixed up. I went to bed at 9 pm last night (before the race was even over on tv). Woke up a little after 11 and Mark was still up so I was asking him who won the race and decided to log on for just a few minutes. I then saw the time was 11:11 and panicked! I thought I had miss logging on for reservations. Mark then pointed out it was only Saturday. Needless to say I couldn't go right back to sleep after that as I was too wound up. Hopefully tonight will go much smoother. :)

Good morning Mary and Mark Boy is the time flying it doesn't seem possible we will all be together again in a few weeks:cool1: :cool1: .
Mary nancy got on the Cruise line site Friday night to check out the site for resivations and had trouble she called the Cruise lines and found out they were having trouble with the site. I hope the problem is solved.

Good morning Dan. We'll be at Beach Club for the 2 days before the cruise. We switched at the 7 month window. We'll be at Boardwalk after the cruise.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone again as well.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Had a great party! Thank you Annette. Today we are just relaxing and deciding our reservations for tonight.

Everyone have a great Sunday.

I have a question. DW and I are frantically worrying about the dress code for dinner on this cruise (DVC Member Cruise). Is there really a night for Semi-Formal? Just trying to plan so I can get a good idea of what we need to pack. :confused3

Any help appreciated. I searched but did not find anything on the boards specific to the DVC Member cruise.

Usual 4 day cruises have what they call a dress up night but I don't think anyone gets as dressed up as Formal or Semi-Formal night on a 7 night or longer cruise.

Last year DVC had a special event called The Legends Ball and suggested more formal dress for it. IMHO it was a bust. It was a lot of standing around in the atrium and while everyone looked nice after standing around for something I think started some 25 minutes late it wasn't worth it. We're planning on cruise casual for the entire cruise.

Sorry didn't get back wasn't watching the clock and had to go to work.
This week will be my last week until next year.
We are also staying at BCV. We will be arriving on the 15 and then staying one night after the cruise. Maybe if we arn't to tired we could get a bit to eat that night together in the Boardwalk BCV area just an idea you and Mark could mull over.
Have a great upcoming week

I am with Mary - cruise casual sounds great to me! I typically pack travel type clothing such as CitiKnits or Slinky. They pack so easily and you can mix and match. Nothing semi formal for me though nor my DH.

Everyone ready for the evening online ressies? I am so excited...:yay:

Havnt had time to nap but slept in today. We are just making our last minute plans. Are we chating tonight or just putting it here on the board

Amanda and I just deceided what we wanted for tonight. Sending pixiedust:
to everyone. I hope you get what you want :)
