We are at AKV Sept 14-21st.


I've been a busy bee. We just rebooked a Baltic cruise on the Crown Princess in June. We're now sailing on the 29th, rather than the 9th and the itin now includes Berlin! And today we booked a Grand Suite on the Brilliance of the Seas to Egypt and the Eastern Med in March 2009. All that planning should definitely keep me out of trouble.

Count us in. They still have cat 9,10 & 11 open. Of couse cheap me took 11. We are in 6609 and have late seating. I also booked the beach club for the night before.

Once I got through I was on hold for about 30 minutes. But all is fine. Thanks for the good wished and Pixie dust. I hope to meet more of you this year.

Dan there won't be so many baseball games on, but Sunday will be football!!!

Hi Everyone,

Thought i would update you on Oprah and Chicago well on the train home. Oprah was amazing we did a show and a segment. We arrived early and sat around for 2 hours while they said that the morning taping ran long not sure if this was true because Oprah told us she had to go see the eye doctor because she had something wrong with her eye . The show was Dr. Oz and about your true age how it can be reversed. We sat in the back center of the studio on left hand side in the center of that section. We were sitting with these other girls pre show and one of the ended up right next to the other dr on the show. They dont know which day in Feb it will run but we know it will be after her birthday. Then they taped the segment which will air on feb 6th. It was Chris Rock via sattelite. Wow i loved that one make sure you watch it.
Today was pretty much Breakfast at tempo, Oprah, Back to hotel to pick up luggage, dinner at the station and know a train ride then a bus ride. We will be finally home around 1:00 am.

Kay- Glad Shelby is doing well enough for you to travel. I will keep her in my thoughts.

We just signed up for the member cruise after spending a mind-blowing week on the Magic las week. I was so good, we took the plunge into the DVC. We are so excited! Are the member crusies as good as the DVC reps say they are?

My DH Mark and I have been on the past 4 Member Cruises and yes I think they are as good as the reps say they are.

HI Kay - I hope Shelby recovers quickly! Our furry blessing is Cleo. She is a Shih-Tzu and has brought much happiness to our home. I hope Shelby is back home soon feeling fine and rubbing noses with you many times a day!

For you repeat cruisers:

Are they as nice to you after your first cruise? I don't know what they put in the crew's bug juice, but EVERYONE (except the photo staff) was unbelievably nice. I don't think "no" is in their vocabulary. I don't know if they just treat the first-timers really well so you'll buy in (which we did) and come back.

On the member cruise do they do anything for Castaway Club members like the other cruise lines do? Usually it's a quick cocktail party.

Do they do the Pirates in the Caribbean party on this cruise with the fireworks?

Saw the weather report today and they said it was as cold in Atlanta as it was here in MI, and showed a bit of snowing down there too.
I remember going through Atlanta in 2000 right around the super bowl time and it was an ice/snow storm for them. They were shutting down EVERYTHING there. I know they aren't used to it and aren't prepared for such things but hubby and I chuckled as we were flying past everyone going at least 60mph to their 10mph. Good times.

Excellent information and has gotten us really excited. Actually Mack said he may just stay in the cabin to wait and watch for the secret deliveries of special gifts - amazing! The Legends cruise seems to have been a once in a lifetime event. What an amazing cast! Thanks for the fantastic information!

Saw the weather report today and they said it was as cold in Atlanta as it was here in MI, and showed a bit of snowing down there too.

Going away this weekend to a crop to work on my cruise pics. I have high hopes in getting a LOT accomplished. I have been working like a crazy person on homework so I won't have much, if any at all to do this weekend.

YES!!! All of my coworkers and I were hoping today that tomorrow wwill be a snow day! We don't get many days off of school down here, so a break every now and then is nice.

I would love to see some of your layouts. I crop as well and would love to have more time to do so. My daughter graduates high school this May, so I need to get busy on her graduation book.

figmentnnemo - yes the DCL crew is the best and have always been helpful and friendly. There is a Castaway Club party on each cruise including the Member Cruise. I believe it is now an afternoon party with pop, rice crispy treats, etc. They always seem so crowded we stopped going. We've had pirate nights on our past member cruises (all the ones after they started pirates night). In fact Linda (seaulater) arranged for a group photo shoot on the last two pirate nights.

Mimi - ahh the deliveries. They are done by your room steward and they have a habit of coming in and out when you are elsewhere. They are amazing and work so hard!

Well here we are freezing here this morning. It's about 10 above zero and getting colder over the weekend. In between it's going to warm up with freezing rain tomorrow then turn off real cold. Our PAT'S will be playing San Diago in freezing weather Sunday in Foxboro.
Nacc and I were glad to see Joan and Roger will be joining us in Sept Nanc and I enjoyed there company we had a ball with them.
and of course Roger and I are great RED SOX fans.
I guess my age is catching up with me I have to face it( NO COMMENT KAY)I received my Medicare card the other day.
I just don't feel like im turning 65 guess im luckey. Nancy keeps me going and we have fun.
Well enought talking Nanc and I have to do some middle of the month shopping today so we will catch you all later.

Rudy Gulliani is in Destin today. I wish this original new yorker could go see him. He was supposed to be at the chamber breakfast but he cancelled too many other stops. Oh well.
