09/21/08 SSMC08 S.S. Member Cruise 2008 - Part 3!

I think I must be the only crazy person still online!!! I cannot believe I got the ES and the Pirate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :thumbsup2
Funny thing is, I get some little clippies and you guys get some SLEEP! I love sleep and I think I will go do it now!

Night!;)

Well we made it in to BC about 7 ish. Got our luggage up and picked up our Hoop-dee-doo tickets and decided to head on out. We thought we would prowl around Fort Wilderness to blow sometime before our 9:30 reservations. So we head out to catch a bus to MK. No sooner than the bus starts to pull out when we see Mark and Mary walking in from the parking lot. Oh well I guess we will see you guys tomorrow.

It has been years (probably 6 or 7) since we did HDD. Still the same, still corny, still loved every minute of it. :)

Well I am stuffed and exhausted. Think we may head to MGM in the AM if we wake up in time. I want to try Toy Story.

Good morning Member Cruisers
We sail tomorrow!

DIS meet at Beach Club today!

Good morning everyone - happy Saturday!

It may look like I'm up early but after getting up at 3:30 on Thursday and 4:30 on Friday getting up today at 5:30 felt like sleeping in. :rotfl:

Congrats to Kamy on the :bride: and the pirate:.

To Marylyn who asked about those - they are a little game here on the thread. If you get a 99th post you get a :bride: or Elizabeth Swan. If you get a 00th post (100, 1000, etc.) you get a pirate:. It started out as a pirate game but one night when someone said something like "I got 99 again I'm a pirate enable" we dubbed them Elizabeth Swan. It is all in fun as we got to know each other.

Robin - too funny! I know exactly the bus you are talking about! Mark and I had come back from Epcot, had dinner over at the Yacht Club and had made a stop at the car to bring back some pop and water to the room. Our plan is Toy Story this morning as well. Maybe we'll see you there!

So looking forward to meeting everyone who can make it to the meet this afternoon and to everyone else on the ship tomorrow.

Well today was my last day at work as well and it could not come at a better time.... So I have to ask why do animals always seem to get sick right bfore you go away?

Wed. night my cat was in distress and was not able to go to the potty. I took him to the ER after hours vet to find out that he had a blocked urinary Tract. We had to have all kinds of things done to him and now have to make sure that it doesn't reblock. Here I am leaving in 36 hours and I have a sick kitty on meds. So my friend is going to look after him and come by 2 times a day, but I am sooooo worried about him. I would put him in the kennel but i am a bad kitty mommy and since he is an inside cat he is past due on some of his shots. He has already shown some improvement, but I guess you wanna see results right away when you are about to go away.... :sad1: I just want him to be OK. He is my baby kitty....

Those of you still here... Please Throw lots of Pixie Dust this way!!!:wizard:

Oh, Jennifer, so sorry to hear about your kitty!:sad1: But it really is a good thing that you noticed and and were able to do something before your vacation, instead of while you were on it! Here's some Pixie Dust for you and your kitty pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hey Kamy - Congrats on scoring the ES and the pirate! :bride: pirate:

Hey Gary - I can't believe you are still out there counting pirates & ESes! Thank you!

Well we have slept a little later than i had hoped. Early entry has started and regular entry is in 20 minutes. Mike is in the shower. We are still headed to the studios. Hope to see you, Mark and Mary.

Good morning everyone!:goodvibes
Yes I was up late getting the ES and Pirate! I am so silly!;)

Well, got a lot to do today before the meet! Hope everyone is doing great and see most of you soon!

Thanks everyone for your kind words about Sylvester. I think that he is going to be OK, but I may take him in to be checked out one more time today for piece of mind. He seems to be feeling more like himself today....

I will probably be the last one online, but I hope that you all enjoy the meet tonight. Wish I was there, but packing and sick Kitty duty call....

She did.

Going the other way on the ramp from the friendships, we were leaving MGM they were going in. :lmao:oops.

We would have gone back in, but we had gone straight to Toy Story without even any kind of meal in us and we were very eager to go get some breakfast. Studios options were limited to either the character breakfast which was probably booked solid, or the Commissary which had a very limited menu and we were really interested in a full breakfast.

I have to say I am really liking the new menus at the Captain's Grille at Yacht Club. I am not a huge fan of overly spicing foods just to do so. The two meals we've had there, dinner last night, and breakfast today were refreshingly not so. Still tasty, but in a.. natural way, the foods own flavors come forth in their own right without anything to distract.

This morning as I said we went to Toy Story. I, like others who have been on the ride, won't give details on purpose as you need to see this for yourself, but it is a VERY fun ride! Even the waiting queue is amazing. :)

Today the typical Florida humidity that is prevalent at this time of year has reasserted itself. It has been warm and muggy for most of the morning, we're just taking a break at this point and doing some reorganizing here in the room so we don't have to do any last minute rushes to get going tomorrow morning.

Just came back from a fun chat at the pool with Dan, Nancy, Joanne and Roger. They are heading over to stormalong bay. We're going to make a quick trip to Downtown Disney.

Hello from the Port!!!

We made it. 20.5 hours :) We left about 1:30pm yesterday and got here about 10:00am this morning. Hubby actually did all but 3 hours of driving. I kept asking him if he was tired and I would take over but he kept saying he was fine. We both got up at 7am yesterday so finally at 7am this morning (24 hours of being awake) I guess he decided to call it quits. We were kind of near Lake City when I took over, well somewhere near there.

I don't know what was up with the GPS, I think it was programmed to avoid tolls because it took us from 75 to 10 through Jacksonville to 95S to the port. It was a different view and nice to mix it up a bit so I didn't totally mind, and we didn't pay any tolls.

After we arrived (staying at the Holiday Inn) we showered and took a nap. I am up to check in and finish some homework before I no longer have internet connection.

We only ran into on problem with gas. We had a quarter tank and were on I-24E just outside of Nashville and there was no gas for a while. We stopped at one exit and nothing. Got off at the next exit and only one station had gas and the line to get it was about 2 miles long - the police were there directing traffic and this was about 10pm at night. So we decided to head up the road more, good thing we had 1/4 tank left.

We will have to keep that in mind traveling home to make sure we get gas before we leave GA.

See everyone tomorrow!!

Glad to see everyone is arriving problem free. Just left the 3:00 meet to shower and change for dinner. It was warm here today. It was great seeing familiar faces and meeting new people. Its almost time for dinner so i better get going. Have a nice night everyone. We are off dinner and then going to Magic Kingdom to do a few attractions and then see the special fireworks display this evening. See everyone tomorrow

What a fun day!

Started with Toy Story Mania! Then on to a nice breakfast at the Yacht Club. We then ran into Annette and Amanda who were on their way over to the studios. They told us about the special fireworks display but we are just too beat.

Mid day I headed out to the Villas pool and caught up with Dan, Nancy, Joanne and Roger and we chatted for about an hour. Back to the room and Mark and I went off to Downtown Disney.

The 3pm DIS meet was great and we had a nice turn out.

At 4 pm Father Frank said a special Mass for the DIS group. It was a small group but it was so special sharing this time with them all.

Last, but not least, was dinner at Cape May. Thanks to Robin for organizing this. We had two full tables in the private room.

Now we are back in the room and chilling out. Looking forward to sailing tomorrow.

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

So has anybody looked at the models for the Contemporary. I know there are those who like them but I was underwhelmed. I love the VWL and Animal Kingdom and I like the Contemporary studio setup but I'm just not into the white plastic look.

We're safely in the Sleep Inn at Ormond Beach! Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow. Safe travels to the port in the morning.

Gary, we got a DVC mailing on Friday for Bay Lake. I'm sure we'll hear a lot about it on the Wonder.

We looked at them too, and I was not thrilled. Guess I'm not into the 'Jetson's' decor, although I loved the rainforest shower.
