I saw on here that the Wonder will be making a guest Appearance at Port Everglades since they closed Port Canaveral. Too bad I have to work or I would go and watch it pull out. I just wanna hear the horn..... :cool1:

Hi there... So do you work for SES-Americon? I used to be a SAT operator for 3 different local news stations... I worked at WTVD ABC 11 and News 14 Carolina in Raleigh, NC. I was the Head SAT operator for WPEC in West Palm Beach. I had to take a brake from TV for a while, but will probably go back one day. I go out and help my husband from time to time and do some freelance jobs for extra money.

My Husband works for a private SAT Truck company by the name of Calhoun Satellite out of Ft. Lauderdale. They have trucks all up and down the east coast. His is the one that you have probably heard of.
Yes, although it has been reorganized that I actually work for SES Engineering which handles the accesses and transponder management for SES Americom, SES New Skies, and SES Astra. I'm familiar with all those trucks as I've worked with all of them. News 14 Carolina is very active and at least two trucks. Calhoun has several trucks. I haven't worked with WTVD is awhile though. WPEC is active as well.

Good morning everyone - we sail one month from today!

WOOHOO! :woohoo: I'm excited! Now the real countdown begins!

I've got my DCL screen saver going! I've got Castaway Cay bookmarked on Google Earth so I can take a peek a few times a day. I've even got my pirate costume ready!

Has anyone heard anything about Castaway Cay and Fay?

But burr on the water. Have a great time.

How did all the South Florida folks do? The flooding looks awful on the news. This storm is just not moving out!

It looks like the storm may pay your area a visit. We are 65 miles North of Tampa nearly on the coast and all we have had is a little rain. Our son attends college in Melbourne and they have had their share of problems. He emailed today that they had catfish swimming in the parking lot. Fortunately, his dorm room is on the fourth floor in a brand new building.

DW got caught in WDW hotel prior to a cruise two or three years ago. She said it was awful but Disney took the best care of them as possible.

Stay as dry as you can!

Well we will definately have to meet you on the cruise.... If you do access than we have probably talked to you before. :goodvibes I miss being a SAT operator, but I don't miss being a news photographer at the same time. I just wish that I could team up with my husband and be a fulltime SAT Operator again and tag team his truck.....

Here is West Palm Beach we did OK. There were a few tornandos and the lakes are over filled but it is OK here. To the North of us in Port Saint Lucie they have it a lot worse. My friends parents were trapped in their house due to the fact that the road in front of it was now a river. Mostly it was just really bad street flooding. Most everyone there is OK though. They just can't get to work or school.

We have NOT received a Shore Excursion booklet for this cruise. Is there one or do they expect you to do it online?

Thank you,

Smillingjack :yay:

Didn't we get a cruise packet a while ago? I can't remember.

Had my first H & R Block class tonight. Thought I would do taxes in the spring fr some extra cash. Since both kids are grown I have a lot of spare time.

I know that I got some type of cruise packet back a few months ago.

DW just looked a little harder in those secret spots and did find the shore excursion booklet. It has a letter dated for the Sept 21, 2008 cruise.

Thanks !

Smillingjack, its raining pretty well now.
