Glad everyone is okay. We are still gettin so much rain....driving my kids nuts! LOL! Despite the being disappointed in the fact that I did not lose the weight I wanted to prior to the cruise, I am feeling that this trip cannot come fast enough!!!!!

Just wanted to pop in a say hi Just got back tonight from Boston. It is a really pretty city from what I could tell. I didn't have a lot of time for sight seeing since on our free night out flight got in 3 hours late. Last night I walked down to Fenway. I also saw Trinity church. That was all I got to see except Hynes convention center and the Westin at Copley place. We had lunch today at Summer Shack. Yummo seafood! Chowder! I have to go back someday. Doesn't ABD go to Boston?

Tomorrow we are doing another 5k to get ready for the Yeti. Wish us luck.

Well Nancy and I made it back from our two days at York. The Weather was great. It was around 85 degrees both days so we got all kinds of beach time. Yesterday we were on the beach at 9:15am and didn't leave until 3:30PM.
On the way home we stopped off in Portland and watched our grandsons 3on 3 hockey game.
While on the beach yesterday we were saying today we will start getting our cloths ready for Florida and the Cruise. 28 days doesn't seem possible.
I totally forgot about the chat room last night.
Joan I hope you are all making it through the storm. Nancy and I noticed yesterday it was heading your way.

We are still waiting for this thing called fay. Not a drop of rain yet. It's a little windy this morning but nothing else. It just needs to come and move on through. DS # 1 is supposed to drive to Nashville tomorrow for his week of training.

Dan glad you guys had a nice time at the beach- so will castaway be your next trip to the beach?

You got that right girl our next beach trip will be Castaway. Although on the way to to Boston next month we will of course drive through York and have an ice cream at our favorite ice cream place.
Doesn't seem possible Joan we leave for Florida in 24 days. Monday the 15th were on our way.
I hope Fay takes it easy on you. The way you have been talking you have had enough rain.

Sorry to hear you slept through you alarm. I envy every one that can sleep that well. I am up every morning with or with out an alarm by 5-5:30 it stinks.

I just called DCL and there at this point in time there is NOT a planned stop at Port Everglades.

This weeks four and three day cruises used Port Everglades because of the tropical storm.

That must have been quite a task to move from Port Canaveral to Everglades, consider the number of folks that needed bus transportation plus think about the logistics of food, etc.

Hey everyone! I cannot believe it is still raining here! We are so ready for Fay to go AWAY!!!
And now there are more storms brewing in the Atlantic! We are heading to Vero Beach on Sept 2 and then the cruise on the 21st......we will cross our fingers all is well on the weather front.

So, are we planning the meet and greet on the ship at Promenade Lounge?? I thought I read that.

I am glad everyone survived Fay. I am taking abreak from studing. I am taking a CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) exam on Monday. What is the matter with me? I am too old to be studing. I am going to start packing next week end. I can not believe that it is Labor Day. Have a great weekend everyone! The promanade sounds good to me for a meet.

Jack - glad you found your excursion booklet. I was pretty sure we had gotten one because I remember everyone talking about it listing Nassau (which of course we aren't going to).

Hope everyone has a great day. I'm hoping to do the updates on the web page tomorrow. Work has been a little crazy but should be able to get to it this weekend. I also need to finish up our little FE gifts.

My mistake, there does not seem to be one because the only place we are going ashore is Castaway Key. I had not checked the itenary presuming we were going to Nassau. I am so glad we are not.

That's what makes this cruise special and one of my favorites. Two visits to Castaway Cay and a day at sea. No Nassau!
