WOW we have been a chatty bunch this week. 16 pages in only a few days.

Just stopped by to day hi. Been a hectic day at work. People have been lined up waiting to talk to me. :) Makes for a busy day, but hey it is job security.

Wow...You guys have been chatty! I just had 3 pages of catching up on! I was feeling a little under the weather on Monday while at work, and it just got progressively worse that night, I went to bed at 8:30 and slept for almost 12 hrs! I called into work yesterday, and am so glad that I did! I feel 100% better today! I think it may have either been heat stroke from this weekend or the flu. Not too sure yet!

Congrats on the pirate!

And we will be participating with the fish extenders if we are not on the list! I believe I PM'd, but can't remember!

Well we had an adventurous morning! I sent the girls outside to play and wait for grandpa to pick them up before I had to go to work! Grandpa get there and we go outside to grab the pool toys for his house. He turns around and there is a racoon laying on the ground. I send the girls into the house, and we see that she is alive, but close to dying. She had 2 babies that were with her, but old enough to take care of themselves! So we called the police, the officer comes and radios back to dispatch and asks what should he do? They tell him to put her down!??? He's like ummmm, no, there are 3 little girls here, we cant do that here....He then tells her he's going to call public works and see what they can do...We wait about 30 mins and public works shows up with a garbage can and a shovel...I'm like what are you going to do with that? They tell me they will shovel her into the can and then take her and put her down...I was worried that she'd fight or bite one of them...But they were able to push her into the can and get her out of the yard so the girls can play. We told the girls they were taking her to the vet to get her better...Didnt want to tell them were going to put her down. I'm just glad that one of the girls didnt get hurt...I guess I need to check the yard before sending them out there!

Thank goodness they were outside. MIL had 2 moms, 2 dads and 5 babies get into her attic. They called hubby to take care of them. Needless to say they can get very mean when they are trapped in a space and have babies. Thank goodness that hubby didn't get bit when he was "taking care" of them. I'm just glad that the babies were old enough to be on their own. They are now living out a happy life on a forest far away from here.

Mom's and Dads...well they are in the big coon fort in the sky.

They can also cary lots of diseases. We were so lucky no one got bit or scratched.

They did do a ton of damage to the attic they chose for their home. $300 of insulation later and all was fixed.

Been a busy morning here at the Kenney's we had our two middle grand kids over . One washed and waxed the Jeep Patriot while the other mowed grampa lawn and of course they didn't do it for nothing:rotfl::rotfl:.While they were doing that Nancy and I were getting stuff ready to leave for York.
I just got through reading the Club news and I see DVC has a new procedure when checking into TBCV. Should check it seeing a number of us are staying prior to the Members Cruise.
Joan you should know by now the money thing never stops with the kids. We have been down that road:rotfl::rotfl:.
Mary sorry missed you. I think you got the right info.
Everybody have a great afternoon

We got rid of 6 squirrels in May. They made two holes into the attic which I am still on the hook to fix, chewed up a wire in the attic and made a mess of the insulation. I couldn’t trap them – too smart for me! – so we had to pay someone to get them, had to pay for insulation, had to fix the wire and still have holes to fix.

Animals are cute when they stay where they belong – in nature or greeting guests at a theme park! - not so much when in your attic….

:cool1: I just wanted to stop by an introduce myself. My name is Carol and my boyfriend and I will be on the cruise as well. I regularly use the DIS for information, I just don't post all that much. I love following all the treads and look forward to see you all on the SS Member Cruise.:yay:

Is anyone doing MNSSHP? We did it last year and a couple of times before that but we are on the fence about it this year. The fireworks and the parade are amazing. It was a blast. How many 37 year old women do you know that will dress up like Underdog? You know one now :)

Mandy- I am so excited! I just did 2 miles in less than 34 minutes! That is 2 minutes off my per mile time. Gotta get ready for the Yeti!

Have a great day everyone :)
Annette

WOO HOO!!!!  Good job on your 2 miles. I am in training too and hoping to get a bit better. I told dh I would actually like to run the whole thing - we will see.

Yes I am doing MNSSHP, but on the Friday after the cruise.

Hi Carol! Welcome aboard. Got your info and will be updating the web page in the next day or so.

I would like to do something that represents our state but snow and potholes don't travel very well :rotfl2:

Annette

Totally missed this in the last quote I did but :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao:

You could always bring a portion of the road that broke apart from the pothole. ;)

Yes I read about LTT not serving character meals anymore. I am so disappointed. I sent an email saying it couldn't possibly be because of a cost-cutting reason. I mean the profit margin on frozen stoffers has to be pretty decent.

I know it isn't as terrible as frozen stoffers, but the food quality alone doesn't warrant the price for the meal that is for sure.

I am really sad about it. Too bad we won't be able to get one in before they stop.

As for PI, I am hoping maybe hubby and I can join in on the fun for the last night after the race.

Good morning everyone - happy Thursday!

We have a Member Gallery Update!

Carol (Alex's Mom) sent in her info and picture of her and her boyfriend Craig.

Now that Kathy (njprincess) has her own DIS name we've updated the gallery to include that as well.

:cake:Happy Birthday Steph (DejnosluvMickey):cake:

I was reading the DVC News online yesterday and noticed they had changed there checkin desk policy at TBCV. Although after reading it the location was the same location Nancy and I used the last time we were there.
Why I mention it I know theres quit a few of us Dis Board Cruising Mates staying there prior to the cruise.
Mary maybe you know whats going on?
Another hot morning here in Maine with the Florida muggies hope it cools off.
Everybody hav a great and Magical day

Good morning Dan.

They did a test of about 6 months I think where they had a special check-in desk at the Villas itself instead of going to the main building. From reports I read here on the DIS it was met with mixed results as it wasn't always open. So they went back to having the check in back in the main building with the Beach Club.

Thanks for pointing it out as many might think it is still in the villas area.

Good morning all,

Happy birthday Steph.

Last year we checked in at the Villas, There is only one computer there. So when her printer didn't work we had to go to the Beach Club any way. We also had to chege rooms mid stay and they sent up to the beach club for that also. I think they were trying to make it easier, but if it's not a full service desk they are better off sending every one to the lobby.

Happy Thursday all. DS # 2- patrick comes home from ROTC tomorrow, boy has it gone fast. We never heard from him. But the girlfriend got two letters. he is enjoying himself and said it wasn't as hard as he expected.

Can anyone tell me if they supply beach towels on CC or do you bring your own? Just trying to figure out my packing situation.

They provide towels. You take what you want, they are right there when you get off the boat at CC and carry them with you.
