Yes it's blacked out for the two weeks at Christmas, Easter and some of summer. But that's ok. It's too crowded any way. We are going to try to go down the first week end in December. DH brother and his three girls will be down on the Make a wish vacation. I love the Christmas lights.

We have never seen WDW decorated for Christmas. How early do they do they do that? I would love to see Main Street and the resorts at Christmas. Heck, I'd love to see AK, MGM (refuse to conform), and EPCOT at Christmas too!

It's fun that so many people are posting tonight...

I've decided to wait until I get to Downtown Disney to buy my pirate sword pirate:

I bring 2 big cups, one for ice & water and one for diet coke. They are insulated so it lasts longer. Great for CC!

An insulated cup or mug is a great idea! It's going on the list!

The day after Thanksgiving it's all decorated. It's amazing to go on Thaksgiving and over night it's all done.

OMG it's fabulous!!! We took my parents as a Christmas present a few years ago. Went in the beginning of Dec. when it was too crowded. The Candlelight Processional is incredible! They also have a special Backstage Tour Christmas tour so you can see all the decorations and how they do it! Every resort has a gingerbread creation in their lobby. They all compete with each other!

I can't find my pirate t shirt- so I will have to get one on Saturday!

We've gone at Christmas and it's WONDERFUL! My friend is going right before Thanksgiving and I told her change and go over the holiday :rotfl:

The candle light processional is wonderful. I love Christmas music and the decorations so I am a mush.

MGM and the Osborne lights are amazing, with the fake snow!!!

Some day I would like to cruise at Christmas time. When the kids are out of college.

We were talking about going down in early November for our anniversary, but now I want to find a way to go in December instead.

I apologize if this has been asked & answered (I still have a ton of pages to read) -- does anybody know if there will be any "special" nights -- like a formal night or a Pirate night?

Thank you!
Ginny

I am just as excited for our Xmas trip as I am for the member's cruise! We have tickets for the very last Candlelight processional and we are taking that Yuletide Tour! I can't wait!!!

The last time I was at Diney during New Year's was college. I can't wait to go now and really appreciate all the decorations and the work that goes into it!!!!:dance3:

Last year we did one of those "I can't believe we're able to do this - once in a lifetime" trips for Christmas. Before my knees couldn't do it anymore, we took the kids skiing in Colorado. (We taught our kids to ski on our "family-moon" so skiing has always been special to us) and now, while I would love to cruise at Christmas, the kids are begging to spend that money in Colorado if we ever get to do anything that big again. They love to cruise, but they really enjoyed skiing out west.

Now that's what I want to do..go for New Years. But I want to also go without the kids and right now that's hard. We do EVERYTHING around them.

My Dad and my brother did the Yuletide Tour and they loved it. They even got a special pin that you can only get on the tour,
