Say, I noticed that buried in the back of the booklet is an airline check in form. Now it says that you can only do airport check in if you booked your airfare through Disney, however, it has all of my flight information filled in, even though I didn't book my airfare through them. It also says that you MUST hand in the little card during cruise check, that's the only time they will accept it. Do you know anything about this?

Sorry Kathy - no I'm not sure about that. We aren't flying this trip and in April we stayed in WDW a few days after.

Speaking of chat - Gary asked in chat last night if there could be a special Member Cruise chat before we all leave. Just for us. I don't think we'd be able to do a night time spot but could possibly do one on Saturday morning or afternoon. What do you all think? Would anyone be available for a special Member Cruise chat next Saturday? I'd have to know in the next couple of days so I could contact admin and see if they could open the room for us. I'd be willing to host.

Mack said he wished there was one just for our cruise too. We will be around Saturday, but he won't be here till after 4:00.

Boy, that must be quite a trip from Chicago!

It is but we like it. We're pushing as far as Macon, GA the first day (hopefully) and then just need a 6 hour trip the next. On the way home we stop in TN to see family. Works out great for us.

Mack said he wished there was one just for our cruise too. We will be around Saturday, but he won't be here till after 4:00.

I'm going to drop a note on Admin and see if we can get either 11 AM Eastern or 4 PM Eastern. I'll let everyone know when I hear back.

I'm not trying to ruin the surprise but they give you a bandana and eye patch at dinner. That might make it a little easier for you. ARRG!

No eye patch on the cruise I just got off and the bandanas are now half the size of the original ones.

I don't remember any special DVC stuff before the cruise. You'll get a special lanyard and some other special paperwork upon check-in. The terminal will be decorated especially for the cruise as well and most likely DeeVeeCee and her sister Ariel Cee will be there to see us off.

When I was at the Brown Derby last week I asked Diamond Jack about DeeVeeCee. He said she is no longer at WDW, she has had a baby and not working. I thought, how dare she......I love her.

Hope she is enjoying her new baby though!

I know Joanne said she wanted to walk but she prefers deck 10. I'm up for walking. I've done both.

Anyone else? Annette? Amanda? Maybe we could agree on a time and meeting place and maybe do deck 4 one day and deck 10 the next? I'm sure if we can agree to something in the next couple of days Linda wouldn't mind putting a reminder in the mini-navigator.

When I was at the Brown Derby last week I asked Diamond Jack about DeeVeeCee. He said she is no longer at WDW, she has had a baby and not working. I thought, how dare she......I love her.

Hope she is enjoying her new baby though!

They have a new thing at the terminal. It is airport check in. When you get off the ship, you get in a different line to go through customs because they have already taken your luggage for you. However, when we got off last Saturday, it was a mess and it took over 40 minutes to get off the ship. Part of it was because the Magic was brought in "forward", then they craned up all the containers onto Deck 10 forward from the port and then Captain Tom had to turn the Magic around to the AFT so they could start loading containers via the crane so our luggage was delayed getting off until they turned the ship around.

It was pretty interesting though seeing all the new stuff being brought onto the ship!

WOW - what a busy crew for a Mondy workday! May I jsut say that hunting pirates while I am educating the generation who will be caring for us in our old age is just really inconsiderate of you! (Kidding here). I have to figure a way to incorporate the DIS board into my grammar lessons. Then I have to figure out hwo to provide a compute for each student in my class - I'm not asking for much, am I?

I am really looking forward to this cruise, but I have decided I am easier to "WOW" than some of you. When Mack and I opened our docs, we were oohhing and aahhing over how nicely they were presented. I guess it is all in the naivete. I haven't experienced any of the other member cruises to know hwo special they were.

Let me just say right now - if there is any truth to the Julie Andrew rumor, you will need to make sure there is an electronic defribulator (how does one spell that term???), someone who knows CPR, and probably a team of medics near me at all times. I will absolutely LOSE it. I went catatonic over a fake Mary Poppins at EPCOT; there is no way I won't be totally in a state if she is there. Oh would that not be absolutely legendary, wonderful, dreamy, and once in ten lifetimes!?!?!?!?

I just finished watching Oprah- DVR- she had on all the Olympic medal winners, OMG I cried the whole time again. They are just amazing. Even the million dollar basketball players were there.
