Two pirates in one day! Is that a record? I missed the first one (was out running) and missed the second one (at work). Usually I'm the one who is out for the pirates. I guess I need to stay in more. Can pirating be a full time job with benefits?

We would love to do the brunch but we are using DLC transport from BCV and not sure when we will get to the port. If someone is making a list for the private room, please add Amanda & I on it. That would be great. If you need any info, please let me know.

Still not docs here, but I'm not worried. As long as there is a stateroom for us when we get there, I'm happy.

Mack and I just got home from our work days/football games. We are now DOING THE DOC DANCE AND YELLING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!

If someone is looking into the private room once onboard, Mack and I would love to do that too. We are leaving early enough that we should arrive at the port early, but who knows?!

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day


An investment in Hefty 2.5 gallon zip bags makes packing and travel much easier.

We use these bags for packing all the time. Swimsuits in one, underwear in another, t-shirts, shorts, you get the idea. If you are flying and have your bags searched by TSA you won't have anyone handling your clothes.

Now here's a tip for those with kids. Put a different complete outfit in each back. Underwear, socks, bottom, top. When you get to the ship just unpack the bags but don't open them. Each morning you have the clothes for the day ready. If the kids can dress themselves even better. No more mis-matched items or looking for missing pieces.

The bags also work great to take dry shirts with you on excursions or to keep your books, camera, etc. clean and dry while on CC.

Today we are staying in, so you never know if we will get the next pirate... It is going to be a very rainy day here in central NJ, what about where everyone else is? This trip is killing my office. I think this will be the last time they approve vacation time for me again, lol My occupation runs like a school schedule, when school is in session we are very busy. So they are kicking them self's for approving this back in February. But on the 18th, I am going to forget about work and have a great time with my wife and finally meet all of you.

All I know is a week from tomorrow we start our journey towards WDW.
If all goes well we will be there for lunch on th 15th.

Not much planned here. Did try on clothes so I know what to pack.

May have to work next week end to get it all done before we leave so I need to be organized.

I am home today with a bag full of papers to grade, but all I want to be doing is getting things ready to go! I may need to change my lesson plans - I think I have made it so I have lots of papers coming in again jsut before we leave. I don't think I will enjoy the cruise as much if I am worried about all the papers I need to grade, and I am NOT taking them to CC to grade while I sit in the surf sipping frozen fruity beverages. I better check those lesson plans carefully next week. I guess I better start grading so I can spend some time later checking the snorkel gear and deciding which clothes to pack.

I think you should bring your papers to CC and we can all HELP you grade them! Although, I'm guessing that after the 2nd Conch Cooler everyone will get an "A".

Hanna is on her way to NJ so I have a bunch of errands to run before she gets here.

I bet there will be at least one pirate today, since a lot of folks will be staying in because of Hanna. I promise to stay out of the 'pirate runs' today!

b/t/w there has been a lot of talk about the private room at Palo's. I know that Joanne had compiled a list of the folks that wanted to do brunch, tried to book the private room and and was told it wasn't available. I'm pretty sure that Joanne/Roger, Tikimimi/Tikimack and Frank & I will be arriving at the port around 10, so we should be in an early boarding group. So, if Joanne has a list, it couldn't hurt to try one more time, once we get there. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

While booking on board I think all you need is names and room numbers. The best strategy might be to exchange info at the port and then depending on boarding numbers everyone gets plan who can ask for what.

We'll all have an hour or so at the port before boarding so there will be time to plan. We are planning on getting to the port early but can't help with Palo much as we already have a table for 6 booked.

Dan - I was able to book it at the 90 day mark online. Mary, Karen, Robin, Mike, Mark and I have been linked for dining since right after we made the reservations. I offered to try and get Palo for us and since we were already linked I just had to select all when I made the booking. Didn't quite get the time we wanted as the early times booked fast but I was able to get a table for the 6 of us at 11:30.

Sounds like you guys got through Hanna OK if you are headed out to shop! She is just arriving here in NJ - the rain has started but we haven't gotten the winds yet. But it is a dark and stormy afternoon - good excuse to start packing!
