to the thread! How old are the kids? Our kids won't be joining us on the member cruise...they're both in school and don't want to miss school for an entire week.

That would be great!! I see you are from NY. If DD and I ever make it up there before the SSMC11 I will have to let you know. Not sure if you are in the area though. I promised her that I would take her to the American Girl store in NY as part of her birthday last year. Between my school work, it being the week before Christmas, and the snow storms we never made it up. She is patiently waiting. Not so patient anymore but we will get there one day.
Another thing is the photo gallery on the SSMC11 website (see First page). I have not sent a picture to Milford yet but that is another way to put a face with a name and get to know everyone. That's only if you are comfortable posting a picture of your kids out there.
My DD is pretty shy when it comes to initiating a conversation. She did fine at the clubs last year but I did not leave her there for long periods of time.
My kids are really excited about 'the idea' of this cruise. They have no idea it has actually been booked. I am waiting to tell them. When they asked me the other day I told them it's not time to book it yet so I am not sure we will get a room.
DS is just waiting to get to The Edge. I am hoping DD will be able to choose between the Lab and the Club. Although she will be 7 at the time we sail she'd be turning 8 in December. Only because the Club is 3-7 and she may prefer to do the activities the 8 year olds are doing in the Lab. We'll see.
Okay, need to go watch for DD at the bus stop soon. Early dismissal and it's such a beautiful day.
. I'm doing WW and finding the support system really helpful. Joining with others in weight loss helps keeping the motivation up! Keep up the great work and here is one of my favourite quotes from my WW folks- being on plan is hard, being fat is hard- pick your hard . If you ever have a bad day the WW boards are a great place to get inspiration.

I just lost 20 lbs and am now doing what I can to get back in shape (gym, tai chi, ki gong, yoga, etc). My wife is down 15 lbs with 35 yet to go. We are there with you! It is a LIFE choice at our point, not just a weight loss idea. We are changing how we eat in general, how we look at activities, etc. We are NOT actively dieting, yet losing weight just as fast as those who are simply by eating right and working out.
DW typing: I'm trying to change my shape from ROUND back to hourglass
She is NOT ordering/buying the food. Instead we are modifying our daily meals. Even the kids love them! If you need any advice on that just ask.
