I hope all of you had a spectacular 4th of July. Ours was busy as usual but I wouldn't have it any other way! :goodvibes. My only complaint is TODAY should be a holiday too! :lmao:

Clicky! This is a restaurant.com coupon for Shula's to make it a bit cheaper! Right now there is a 40% off coupon code. Enter "fresh" at checkout. Towards the end of the month they offer 80% off codes but the better coupons may be sold out by then. It's better to buy a gift certificate at 80% off at the end of the month then get the coupon at the beginning of the month.

Thanks Junior. I just have to figure out if that is better than the 20% discount you get with TIW.

I agree. You should always get a day off work after a holiday to clean up and rest!

No wonder everybody was so slow to respond. That was post #666 when I posted. ;)

You were correct! Although it was a couple of minutes after 3 am EST, the system allowed me to check-in.

I was suprised how much information they requested but I am glad to be done. Now I am officially done with everything except waiting for the cruise portion.

:banana::banana: Yeah, they did want a lot of info.

I was surprised by the number of fireworks going off here in town last night. There must have been at least 10 times the number that I usually see/hear on the 4th. Jason and I went out for a walk and people were out and smiling and wishing us Happy Independence Day. It was nice to see. People around here have been so stressed with the economy that the friendliness of the neighborhood has been effected.

How was everyone's 4th of July Weekend? What did everyone do?

We ate ribs and watched Stitch set off his stash of fireworks. Mostly little ones, but there were a few larger ones that were quite pretty.

Only fireworks that don't leave the ground are legal here. Nothing that you launch into the air ... but people still order them or go to another state and buy them. So, we got to see a few of those going off here and there too. They are pretty, but I get a bit annoyed. There was a house, here in town, a couple of years back, that burned to the ground because the neighbor was setting off the launchable ones. The year before that, someone set one of the local churches on fire with them. It wasn't a total loss, but they had to go through 9 months of renovations and repairs.

We also watched Edward Scissorhands. Haven't seen that movie in forever. It was fun seeing Johnny Depp at such a young age.

Can't complain I guess. We need to get this thread moving along. We are falling behind :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well, Ian used two bottles of rum this weekend, does that mean we're at 98 bottles of rum on the wall? :confused3

We had fireworks going on from all sides. I'm pretty sure some careless folks set something on fire yesterday with the fireworks. :guilty:

Well, we got ingredients for Konk Kooler yesterday and I'm trying to locate this particular passion fruit nectar but the Publix doesn't carry that fruit nectar anymore. I'll have to search other stores :headache::headache::headache:

Yeah, I know it happened here last night because I heard the siren go off at the station at about 11:30pm. We have a volunteer FD, so every time they have a call, the air raid siren goes off downtown. I only heard one engine go out though, so it must not have been a bad one.

We're just over 1/4 mile from downtown and the fire and police stations and we're a half mile from the hospital. We're also on the same power grid, so if we lose power here, we're the first ones to get our lights back on. :thumbsup2

Have you tried looking online for it? I know Amazon has started selling food.
